Can’t wait to hear it with the full band. Tickets for the Opera House gig with Coughlan’s Live still available, will be a special gig.

Right so, time for a few down the line announcements. Plenty of these to come over next couple of weeks folks, under a bit of time pressure today so not too many, but lots being announced!

Only one place to start this week. Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid are back. Of course that is ABBA, with the announcement of their brand new album ‘Voyage’, released worldwide on November 5th, announced alongside a revolutionary concert which will take place in London in 2022 and will be screened worldwide. The brand new studio album will come on CDVinyl and Limited Blue Vinyl. Both the vinyl formats have been given allocations, so when they are gone they are gone.

Next up will be my own most anticipated album of the year, with the announcement of BIFFY CLYRO’s 9th studio album ‘The Myth Of The Happily Ever After’. This follows up last year’s ‘A Celebration Of Endings’ which is still my most listened to album of last year, an absolute cracker. Probably the only upside to your favourite band not being able to tour the last year is that now you get another studio album, only just over 12 months after the previous one! Happy days for the Bob-Man. This new album, which initially was set out as a B-Side record, took it’s own life during the recording with Simon Neil penning a full new album, and with the band swapping their usual couple of month long recording trips to LA with a six week recording session in a farmhouse near their homes in Scotland, the first time the band have recorded an album on home soil. For the release, there is a CD, a Limited Red Vinyl with a Bonus Live CD (recorded in The Barrowlands last year, featuring 2020’s ‘A Celebration Of Endings’ performed in full), and also there will be a limited edition 10” Vinyl release of tracks “Errors in the History of God/Unknown Male 01”. Really looking forward to this one!!

Ray mentioned last week the release of THE BEATLES new formats of ‘Let It Be’, which is coming as a brand new vinyl reissue, deluxe 2CD, a Super Deluxe 4LP + 12” Vinyl Set, or a Super Deluxe 5CD + BluRay Set to go with the documentary from Peter Jackson which is due out later in the year. Here is the information on the 2 Super Deluxe Box Sets :

Finally for this week for the down the line announcements, Universal are releasing a new covers album by THE SPECIALS, entitled ‘Protest Songs 1924-2012‘, released on just vinyl. Allocated only a few copies here again folks so when gone they’re gone i’m afraid. There is also a new 50th Anniversary Edition release of DAVID CROSBY’s debut album ‘If I Could Only Remember My Name’, reissued on 1LP Vinyl remastered, or as a 2CD release with a bonus disc of demos and outtakes.

Right, finally for this week so, Integral for October 1st have a new 2 track 7” single release from BEAK> entitled ‘Oh Know’.
