Here’s info on the CD set

A comprehensive CD anthology of music from the mythic first leg of Bob Dylan’s groundbreaking Rolling Thunder Revue, this 14CD box set includes all five of Dylan’s full sets from that tour that were professionally recorded. The collection also provides the listener with an intimate insider’s seat for recently unearthed rehearsals at New York’s S.I.R. studios and the Seacrest Motel in Falmouth, MA plus a bonus disc showcasing one-of-a-kind performances from the tour. The collection features 148 tracks in all, with more than 100 of those never previously released. Included in the box set is a 52-page booklet featuring rare and never-before-seen Rolling Thunder Revue photos and a revelatory essay by novelist/musician Wesley Stace.

Warner for the 7th of June have the NEIL YOUNG Live Album with the Stray Gators band “Tuscaloosa” live on 2LP or CD.. It’s a previously unreleased 11 track recorded in the University of Alabama in Feb 1973.. The Stray Gators were more or less the band that recorded “Harvest” and “Time Fades Away” with Young.. Fine track listing on this one..

Warner also has a 25th Anniversary version of PINK FLOYD “Division Bell” for next Friday.. Gatefold Double Blue Vinyl edition available to us… I remember vividly selling this album in Golden Discs in Patrick St 25 Years Ago.. Flashback time… Bit surreal that this flashback to sitting here now writing to this… Where to be in 25 years time.. Or be here at all.. 2044..  Where will the Music Biz be… My side of it??  Is clutter a thing of the past?.. Good clutter (i’ll say records) Bad clutter (half used tins of paint) .. Machines can play what we want by us telling them.. Voice activated music, voice activated hot water, cold water, lukewarm water.. We are I feel becoming a less cluttered society .. More sterile, healthier, fitter with less clutter… So where will all be in 25 years??  Disintegrating plates (saw some guy from the Guardian cut the shit out of The Cure Masterpiece during the week).. So no wash up… Swings you just can’t fall out of… Dogs that will put up their own shite.. Well this music retail business has seen spectacular change in 25 years.. Today is now I suppose and go with that.. 25th Anniversary of Floyd out next Friday…

Warner for next Friday also have RUSH “Time Machine” 2011 180gm 4LP boxset.. Best price job on it is €80 and lastly there is an issue of ASHLEY MCBRYDE’s album “Girl Going Nowhere” on LP..

Little Amber Fish for the 7th of June have the first 3 RICHARD HAWLEY albums on super limited clear vinyl (only 275 of each pressed)… So “Late Night Tale”, “Low Edges” and “Self Titled”… I’ve my name in the hat for some of them so fingers crossed…
