Cheers, Ray! Hello all, hope yere well. Some good ones to mention today I reckon.

First up is the 30th Anniversary reissue of ALICE IN CHAINS ‘Dog’ album, or self-titled. The white cover with the three legged dog on it. This one hasn’t been on vinyl for ages, might even be the first time since its original release. Their last album with Layne Staley. His voice with Jerry Cantrell’s was class. What a loss.
It’s going to be on yellow vinyl, and out January 30th.
One of their best songs, ‘Heaven Beside You’ is on it. Here’s that: https://youtu.be/TEAylKJb-to?si=HcxtPoWImGi3qFpQ

Next one to mention is the new album from Irish folk group YE VAGABONDS, ‘All Tied Together’, which is coming out that Friday the 30th too.
Here’s a bit more info on the album:
“Multi-award-winning Irish band Ye Vagabonds release their fourth album, and third for Rough Trade’s River Lea label, ‘All Tied Together’ on Jan 30th 2026.

Recorded live in a house in Galway, with acclaimed producer Philip Weinrobe (Big Thief, Adrienne Lenker) at the helm, the powerful and cinematic album features deeply evocative original songs infused with memory, tribute, and gratitude. Throughout, a strong sense of home prevails, both their own hard-won digs, past and present, and an inner refuge for anyone longing for connection beyond time and geography. “All these songs have addresses,” says co-frontman Diarmuid Mac Gloinn. “They’re about specific locations and specific people.” The brothers cite fiction writers George Saunders and Claire Keegan as particular inspirations on this record.

The brotherly harmonies and multi-instrumental abilities of Diarmuid and Brían Mac Gloinn were joined on ‘All Tied Together’ by multi-instrumentalists Shahzad Ismaily (Laura Viers, Cass McCombs) who flew over from Brooklyn, Alain Mc Fadden, Caimin Gilmore, Kate Ellis, Sam Amidon, Romain Bly and Louise Gaffney.”

And here’s a new live track from them. The track is on the album: https://youtu.be/hk0kPPyYqf8?si=UZ1RCFHVYBgorVkf

A band we like in the siopa, KHRUANGBIN, have re-recorded their debut album ‘The Universe Smiles Upon You’. December 5th for that, on CD, black vinyl and white vinyl.
“If we could go back and tell ourselves how much was going to happen to us after that record, what would we want to celebrate?” asked Laura Lee, bassist, vocalist, and founding member of the band. Instead, they thought: “Let’s do it again.”

There’s a new album also coming out at the end of February from BILL CALLAHAN, ‘My Days of 58’. His last one was great. Here’s a new track, really like it: https://youtu.be/VTwVcCqG1Ig?si=hZBWZmAfUiBh8HUu
CD, cassette or 2 LP.

Here’s everything else that’s coming over the next few months:

Just to update ye as well on my Pieta House fundraiser. It’s finished now and we raised €300. Funds were sent to them last Saturday. Thanks very much to everyone who bought the EP and hope ye enjoy the tunes.

Thinks that’s all from me this week. Back to you Ray so, and enjoy the Ireland match tomorrow!

Thanks Shane!
Sin e for this week really folks

Thanks for listening as always

Ray, Shane, Adam & Mia
