Releases for this Friday the 7th of November include…

 

Lovely instore to tell ye about next…we are only delighted to welcome DAVID MURPHY to the shop ( accompanied by Peter on piano) for an instore on Friday evening the 14th of November @ 6 pm….this will be only beautiful folks…went to see David a few weeks ago in the always wonderful Coughlans room and it was stunning…ye are in for a treat…its a little bit different as its a fully instrumental instore…David has a record and CD out in the last year or so “ Cuimhne Ghlinn: Explorations in Irish Music for Pedal Steel Guitar’ and everything from the artwork (above) to the music is stunning…here is a tune from David from other voices a few months back…its a cover of the wonderful Elliot Smith

David will be signing copies of the album after the performance on Friday the 14th of November.

Black Friday is the 28th of Nov and integral were very late to the party with their offerings…only sending it to us this morning…so Shane will pop it in here…if you need anything from it shout in the next few days … .thanks!!

Fun Ray is missing a bit lately…the letter was a bit like torture this week….the lads have 70 titles circa 140 different links gone up for the 21st november….Universal alone had over 65 releases for 21st November….in total over 250 releases for 21st November acoss the record companies…to go through them folks in a short space of time and pick the ones you hope to sell…well its a pain in the h….hence fun Ray is gone missing….3 or 4 more intense weeks of it left…getting the info out there….bamboozled by it we are….anyhoo sorry for moaning its an age thing

Went to the Bruce Springsteen movie last night. Really enjoyed it. Class how it delves into how he made Nebraska and that period in his life with the past in mind. Very good. Acting was great in it.

Getting the newsletter out a bit later this evening. Our dog Taylor was under the weather again so we had to pop out to the vet. A ‘pinched nerve’ (really)…so a bit of a storm in a teacup but look, she’s grand. On painkillers. Anyway, sorry for rambling on.

There’s a mega RAMMSTEIN Singles box set that caught my eye. Mad expensive though. THE SCRATCH, great Dublin trad/metal band, have a new album, and also Dublin’s AILBHE REDDY has a new album too which caught my eye.
