Cork-based Ways of Seeing return with their highly anticipated second album, The Inheritance of Fear, out October 10th on Joyful Hour Records.
Following an eighteen-month creative surge experimenting with interfaces, plug-ins and virtual amps in a home studio, Ways of Seeing continue to expand their sonic palette on this sophomore release. The result is an infectious alternative rock sound layered with shoegaze, post-punk and indie rock textures.
Mixed by the acclaimed Daniel Fox, The Inheritance of Fear builds on the momentum of Ways of Seeing’s 2022 debut, End Comes to Light, which received radio play from Dan Hegarty and Tom Dunne. Influences ranging from Philip Larkin and Karl Ove Knausgaard to Whipping Boy, Protomarty and Microdisney fuel lyricist James O’Donnell’s bold and maturing artistic vision.
