Hi everyone,
Hope all is well enough and the form is good.. April 21st 2021 already! Noises about non-essential retail opening by middle of May now… Not sure but it may jump straight over click / call & collect to being open… If it does, how bad!! Just with the re-opening, be it call & collect or open, we do ask a favour of you kind folk.. It has been a messy 16 weeks now nearly and there’s a pile of this here and a pile of that there (stuff all over the shop… ‘shop’ used as a Corkism here).. So we would be so grateful if you could email what you are collecting, that would be a brilliant help (not exactly needle in a haystack, but will save us trolling though emails to find the few bits there for me… Not being smart, it would be a great help.. ‘Lads i’ll be in tomorrow for A, B and C”.. Perfect, sound job.. I should have got a job in NPHET… Speaking of rules… RSD 2021 Lists and Wishlists and the good soo-a’s orders for said product needs to be in by the end of the Month… Here is the full comprehensive list of what should be available to us :

Hey everyone,
Hope you are all keeping safe and well..
The bossman is right, there is a big Irish release announced. (A few nice Irish releases actually this week). But what a place to start off, with the brand new album due from VILLAGERS. ‘Fever Dreams’ is the title and it’s due out in August. It’s coming on CD, Vinyl, Indies Vinyl and there is also a coloured Irish Exclusive Vinyl release. I also see Mr. O’Brien has announced a show in November in The Opera House. An exceptional talent, and his band are incredible. Fingers crossed this one gets to go ahead because it would be a special gig. Here is the brand new single ‘The First Day’ from the album :

Another great Irish release announced is the upcoming album ‘Town’s Dead’ by KOJAQUE, the follow-up to the excellent ‘Deli Daydreams’ from 2018. This one is coming from the Different Recordings label via Integral / PIAS on CD or Vinyl. Great Irish rap / hip-hop, one i’m looking forward to giving spins to when it lands in June. Here is the lead single ‘Town’s Dead’ :

Finally on the Irish front for upcoming releases, JAMES VINCENT MCMORROW has announced his brand new 5th studio record, ‘Grapefruit Season’. Another class class Irish act. The album is due in in July, and is released on CD, Vinyl or Indies Only Rose Coloured Vinyl through Sony / Columbia. You can check out the latest single ‘Waiting’ below :

Some other nice upcoming releases now up on the site include a new reissue series Warner have announced called ‘The Montreux Years’ compilation records. These are coming by ETTA JAMES and NINA SIMONE, released as 2CDs or 2LP Vinyl. LUCY DACUS’ third studio album ‘Home Video’ is now announced on CD, Vinyl or very limited indies only clear vinyl. There is a 2CD release from DAVID BOWIE just announced called ‘The Width Of A Circle’, released to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of ‘The Man Who Sold The World’. It features non-album singles, live material, music from a TV Play and plenty of other non-released material. TAYLOR SWIFT’s ‘Fearless : Taylor’s Version’ gets released on limited gold vinyl in August. Finally on the music side, there is a reissue Vinyl / CD Set reissue of THE WEDDING PRESENT’s ‘Seamonsters’.
We also have put up on the site a few new hardware bits that we have gotten into the shop, including Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers, Kef Q150 Bookshelf Speakers, and finally Kef Q550 Standing Speakers.
That’s it from mise for this week, thanks as always.
Back to the boss-man!

A deluxe reissue of CROSBY, STILLS, NASH & YOUNG’s ‘Deja Vu’ on Rhino / Atlantic… It’s a 50th Anniversary 4CD/1LP version.. Absolutely cracking album.. There is also a 3LP Blue Vinyl reissue of FEAR FACTORY’s ‘Demanufacture’, and we are looking forward to the new album from THE BLACK KEYS on the 14th also.. ‘Delta Kream’ it is called and it’s on Nonesuch, available on CD, LP and an indies exclusive LP also.. Here is a tune from the new album..
