Shake Your Money Maker is the debut vinyl record by the American blues rock band The Black Crowes, released in February 1990 on Def American Recordings, and reissued on Back To Black on vinyl record in Ireland in 2015. The title comes from a traditional blues track, by Elmore James, which the band have performed many times throughout their career, showing a huge influence on their sound. The track does not feature on the album, however.
Shake Your Money Maker peaked at number 4 on the Billboard 200, and two of its singles, “Hard to Handle” and “She Talks to Angels”, reached number 1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
