Title : Alan Fullard – October Rose. Format : CD.

Singer songwriter Alan Fullard is from Solihull, Birmingham, UK with his maternal Irish roots in Cloyne, Co Cork. Where many a happy family holiday took place, in later years Alan performed at local venues.

On the 4th June 2020 Alan released his fourth studio album “October Rose’.

Alan’s history is steeped in a thriving Birmingham rock band scene and you may have seen him playing keyboards with the Sumo Giants and other notable bands back in the days of big songs and big hair too!

Since those days Alan has been following his first love, working away at his songs and has, in recent years, released three albums leading up to this new release. They are “Out Of Nowhere”, “In My Own Way” and  “Heartrise”

Why “October Rose”?

Well, Alan’s lyrics are often complex and multi-layered, so not everything is as simple as it seems!

What is known is that this album is dedicated to Alan’s mum Rose, but a late-blooming October Rose exists and then again maybe the real meaning is something else entirely.  Again, and again, Alan’s songs reveal alternate narratives. Is the catchy “Circus” really about ringmasters and clowns?  The big ballad “Gonna Miss You” – a straightforward love song?    …actually not. Alan loves to conjure with words, so please know that nothing is quite what it seems.

What lies within “October Rose”?

The twelve original songs and Alan’s pure voice deliver a kaleidoscope of emotions from the whimsical “Lonely Sofa” to the heartfelt ballad “Love You forever”.  This album is mature, mellow and melodic rock with some big choruses. Songs that will lift your spirits and play on in your head.

Produced in the UK by Pete Ware.
