Movement is the debut studio vinyl record by the English rock band New Order, released in November 1981 on Factory Records, and reissued by Warner in Ireland on vinyl record. It is the first record release following the suicide of Ian Curtis, leading to the end of the band Joy Division. While upon release the album was not favourably recieved by critics, resulting in the album failing to chart higher than at 30 in the UK, it has gone on to become a staple in New Order’s catalogue, and a fan favourite.
