Behind the 8 ball here today so wont be much talking from me….the hangover lasts the week, trying to find “ back to normal” again….its mad the difference in the shop….just to say we will have a second card terminal for next year so it will speed up the queue…..thats the one part we let people down a bit last saturday….after getting your records , there was too long a wait….will fix that for next year….sorry folks! Living and learning

Had some drama with the website for 24 hours….got an email from Stripe on Sunday evening to update my information….before i knew it lunchtime Monday we couldn’t take payments on the site…stripe had cut us off…i done the info thing about 4 on Monday and got a message that it can take 2 to 3 days to verify the information….no “ real” response to “ chats”  that it was crucial to get the site functioning again ( rsd leftovers were going online at 8pm) what rubbish lip service i got back….disgusting AI generated responses….but zero help…shut us down without warning really and appalling customer service….we had to get the IT guys to install Paypal as a payment option on the site…..at least that got us back working…but we lost 30 hours and the RSD leftover window….ah sher it could be worse but very frustrating…i’m still not back with stripe 48 hours on now….not the best week. Small fry in the scheme of life though. But I am going to borrow a line from my young colleague Shane…Stripe are a shower of …..

  Sound, Ray! Hello everyone!
Thanks again for coming in last Saturday, a great day for the parish!
An antidote to all the AI stuff that I’m seeing lately.

Anyway, I won’t ramble as we’re all playing catchup this week a bit.

There’s a class NICK DRAKE box set coming out on May 9th. ‘The Making of Five Leaves Left’ on 4 CD or 4 LP with loads of demos and extras in it. Here’s more info:

The Making Of Five Leaves Left includes unaccompanied demos, studio outtakes and previously unheard songs that tell the story of how Nick Drake’s debut album ‘Five Leaves Left’ came to be released on Island Records in 1969.

This Nick Drake Estate authorised 4LP edition comprises over 30 previously unheard outtakes from the sessions, compiled across three discs. The final disc to complete the package is the original Joe Boyd produced album. The whole set has been mastered by John Wood.

Accompanied by a 60 page book printed on special textured paper stock, written by Neil Storey in collaboration with Richard Morton-Jack, complete with full track recording details, charts and recording history. “

There’s a brand new PULP album coming out in June. Their first in 24 years! Here’s a track from it: https://youtu.be/-27a1ugJX8U?si=JZG0A3d_wod_jC1Z I wonder if anything to do with the island near us?
We’ll have that on cassette, CD, black vinyl, green vinyl and indies blue/white marble vinyl.

Here’s everything else:

Think that’s everything from me this week. Oh, just to let ye know that we are closed this coming Monday for the Bank Holiday.
Back to you so, Ray, bud.

Thanks Shane!
Sin e for this week folks really

Thanks for making last saturday a lovely ( although intense) day…and to those that brought us gifts …thank ye!
