Hope everyone is keeping well.. I forgot toe mention the RSD thing last week… I will be placing my orders over the next week so if any wish lists… Fire it over.. So it’s time for this week’s ad… Releases hitting the shop floor this Friday the 10th of July are new albums by LAURA MARLING, THE STREETS, MARGO PRICE, THE JAYHAWKS, GLASS ANIMALS, PRVIS, THE DMA’S, and RUFUS WAINWRIGHT… Reissues also out by REO SPEEDWAGON and THE GRATEFUL DEAD…. Not a bad week release wise, the summer is normally very quiet on the release front but this year has probably been the most bizarre year most of us have seen.. Full summer release schedule…
Shop is open now Monday to Saturday.. So just closed on Sundays.. It should be on a platforms folks… ‘Platforms’… That’s the word for it isn’t it?? ‘Platforms’…
Bob’s here on vinyl next week, on Friday the 17th of July.. Great demand for the record.. Great to report that demand also.. Indies only olive green vinyl (just 7k of these).. Ye might think i’m like the boy that cried wolf.. But passing on the information.. 7k of the indies one pressed.. 300 copies of the Prince ‘Sign O The Times’ peach vinyl coming into Ireland.. Less of the sets.. And Sufjan indies vinyl is sold out 3 months before release… Dylan’s Dylan like, end of story.. Have not immersed myself in it yet.. I’m hearing great things from the folks who say they are not normally into Dylan, but the fans / diehards are quieter about the record.. Each for our own judgement I suppose… ‘Murder Most Foul’ is class in my opinion…
Sony for the 17th aside from the Dylan vinyl release have the new DIXIE CHICKS album and DEPECHE MODE’s ‘Violator’ 12” Singles Boxset.. FIONA APPLE’s ‘Fetch The Bolt Cutters’ is moved to July 24th now..
Warner for the 17th of July have the beautiful reissue / 40th Anniversary Remastered also of JOY DIVISION’s ‘Closer’ album on Crystal Clear vinyl.. As well as that Warner are reissuing 3 classic 12” singles, ‘Transmission‘, ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’, and ‘Atmosphere‘. Only 1k of each of the singles…
Warner also have a new album from PRETENDERS ‘Hate For Sale’ on CD or LP as well as LIANNA LA HAVAS’ new album also.. We have a few indies only coloured vinyl due in…
Cargo have the debut record by Dublin 5-piece SILVERBACKS… I like this… Also out on the 17th of July..
One I forgot and meant to mention last week is the LLOYD COLE AND THE COMMOTIONS ‘Collected Recordings 1983-1989 6LP Vinyl Boxset with a book, limited to 1000 copies worldwide.. Lloyd wrote a nice few words about the release… Here tis… €190 is out best price
In 2014 Universal Music Group approached me with the idea of producing a ‘Complete Lloyd Cole and the Commotions’ box set. It was eventually released in 2015, in CD format only. I asked, I strongly suggested that a vinyl version be released but UMG were not interested. Enter Tapete Records. It’s taken a while, but it’s here.
6 LPs and a book, in a box.
All three studio albums are included, all three are re-mastered, Abbey Road studios creating the masters for UMG, and Skyline Tonfabrik fine tuning for vinyl. Many thanks to Kai Blankenberg for his patience. It took a while for me to be satisfied, but I’m very happy now. We did very little to Mainstream other than adjust level. Bob Ludwig’s original work was near perfect and still sounds great almost 30 years later. The original ½” mixdowns of Easy Pieces could not be used as the tape had disintegrated and baking, etc could not save it. We worked from the ¼” back up (made the same day as the ½” for this very reason) and to my ears the album is significantly improved. The big news, to my ears, is Rattlesnakes. We were able to use the original ½” tapes and upon hearing a ‘flat transfer’ I was shocked at how far we had strayed from the original recordings over the years. I sent the files to the band to listen to to be sure I wasn’t imagining things. Is this as great as I think it is? They agreed. We decided to make the new version as close as possible to the original tapes. I hope you enjoy it.
The first bonus LP is all our collected b-sides, no live recordings or re-mixes.
LP 5 is demo recordings, many of which had never been heard, outside of our circle, until 2015.
The final LP is rarities, from the unreleased 1983 single Down At The Mission, the 1985 Paul Hardiman recordings, the live cover versions from our 1986 New York show, the 1986 Paris recordings with Chris Thomas, and one re-mix – our own extended version of My Bag, which we all pretty much agreed was the only decent dance mix we ever made. Pretty much everything we recorded which wasn’t a complete disaster is here.
The book contains an extensive essay by Pete Paphides, who spent way more time and wrote many more words than was originally the plan. He spoke to all the protagonists. It’s a lovely story, if a little sad, at times.
Also some ‘biggies’ announced in the last week from the EAGLES ‘Live From The Forum MMXVIII’ on 4LP, 2CD, 2CD/DVD or 2CD/BluRay, local band DAGENHAM YANKS have a new album on vinyl out, NUN ATTAX / FIVE GO DOWN TO THE SEA? / BEETHOVEN Record with CD and Fanzine in the shop now.. It’s a great product.. MY MORNING JACKET have a new album announced on Limited Clear LP, Indies Only Deluxe Coloured LP, or CD, and RICK WAKEMAN announced a new album ‘The Red Planet’...
And we lost the great ENNIO, the best in his field in my opinion.. Incredible talent and ear.. Unbelievable.. Never saw him and probably could have in recent years but didn’t move on it and it’s a regret…
Releases for the 24th of July we have the excellent MICK FLANNERY live album ‘Alive : Cork Opera House 2019’ oc CD or Double Vinyl.. Proceeds going to help Mick’s crew and band, during for them, more than most of us, an never ending quest to try to return to work.. We have the gorgeous signed test pressing up for raffle for one lucky purchaser of the aforementioned record (CD or LP), and we may even have more exciting news with Mick Flannery very soon.. Will keep ye posted…
Sorry I forgot a nice one for the 17th of July… ‘Dion and Friends’ gets it’s vinyl release.. Actually the album is called ‘Blues With Friends’, where Dion duets with some list of friends.. Bruce, Paul Simon, Bonamassa, Jeff Beck, Van The Man to name just a few of the medium hitters there…
Universal for the 24th of July have the one press only Picture Disc vinyl of iconic million / zillion selling BOB MARLEY compilation ‘Legend’... Looks sweet…
Universal for July 24th also has the PJ HARVEY ‘Dry Demos’ on 180gm vinyl with Download… NOW 106 is out on the 24th, DIANA ROSS ‘Supertonic : The Remixes’ is out on CD and coloured vinyl, new remixes of 9 classic tracks, and lastly for the 24th Universal have a new album by ROGER O’ DONNELL (Keys player with the Cure)
PIAS for the 24th has the PJ HARVEY ‘Dry’ reissue, first time it’s out on vinyl in 20 years.. Fine debut… The original label Too Pure are putting out the reissue as well, whereas UMC have the demos release.. Don’t ask me to try to explain the ‘murky’ world of record deals.. PIAS for the 24th also have new albums by KAMAAL WILLIAMS (indies only available on vinyl) and also SHIRLEY COLLINS.. Indies only as well..
Proper for the 24th of July have a new album by THE NAKED AND FAMOUS…
The Orchard for the 24th of July have the new album by COURTNEY MARIE ANDREWS on Loose Records… It’s called ‘Old Flowers’ and it’s on CD or LP… The Orchard also have a new album by LORI MCKENNA…
Music on Vinyl for the 24th of July have TIN MACHINE 2 coloured vinyl and CD, NINA SIMONE ‘And Piano’, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY ‘Wiseblood’, INCUBUS ‘Make Yourself’, SLOWDIVE ‘Just For A Day’, G3 ‘Live In Tokyo’ also so a nice few due… I think a lot will be the limited coloured ones…
Right so, the 31st of July sees the new FONTAINES D.C. Record ‘A Hero’s Death‘… Deluxe Gatefold Double LP on 45RPM 180gm vinyl cut at Abbey Road with a 12” by 12” photo / lyric book.. Also available on Stormy Blue vinyl with a printed inner sleeve, standard black vinyl with a printed inner sleeve, or as a two pocket wallet CD… I love the new tune to be honest… Cracking tune altogether.. Really excited and thrilled to have a signed pressing of the record for one of ye lucky folks as well as gorgeous signed prints for some runners up.. Get on the album on some format.. Get into the competition / raffle… Probably the nicest / most sought after price we have ever had…
Sin é for this week really folks..
Thanks for listening,
Ray, Shane and Bobby
Hope all is going okay with ye.. Lots going on in your local tape and record emporium over the last while.. Being honest we had two great week’s business but back to reality and normality this week for sure.. Weird how good it was, I suppose people showing support, pent up demand, and our searing good looks must all be factors in it.. Anyway, back to reality..
Nice few releases in the siopa for this Friday the 3rd of July, the biggest being the new album from PAUL WELLER ‘On Sunset’.. We will have a Deluxe CD and Gatefold Double LP also.. All the indies purple vinyl are spoken for i’m afraid.. Sorry..
As regards to allocations.. Certain titles or products are genuinely limited and will not last.. There are two in the distance that I will mention on this weeks newsletter… The PRINCE ‘Sign O’ The Times’ reissues (masterpiece and all that it is), particularly the 13LP/DVD version, the 8CD/DVD version and the 2LP Indies Only Peach version… We are doing best price jobs on these 3 of €300, €150 and €36… There is only one run of each of these and they won’t be around for very long.. So if you would like one, then drop us an email or buy it from the website… Just 10 of each up there as I don’t know how many I will get..
Similar story with the new SUFJAN STEVEN’s album ‘The Ascension’... Yippee yippeee yipeeee. One of my own personal favourite artists… I thought his last album ‘Carrie and Lowell’ was a work of genius.. Understated but yet so layered, thought provoking lyrics.. Still is my favourite record of the last 4 or 5 years, so i’m super excited for this release.. (I know Sufjan has done collaborations etc over the last number of years… But a new solo album.. Yes boi!!!) Again there is a independent shop only vinyl release with this and these are going to be allocated as there aren’t enough to go around… Guaranteed.. Similar to Weller, I will not have it for sale on release day, they will be gone, same as above.. Email in or buy it from the site if interested..
PAUL MCCARTNEY ‘Flaming Pie’ 3LP version is a very limited one also, as is the big boxset.. Sin é an scéal with them anyway..
Bobby and Shane (The IT Department) have done loads of work getting pre-orders up here… Loads more additions this week.. I see JOHN PRINE ‘Souvenirs’ makes it’s debut on vinyl.. Great loss to music… SPOON reissues up for pre-order, as well new records by BILL CALLAHAN, FLAMING LIPS, DANEIL AVERY, GREGORY PORTER, DISCLOSURE, CAT STEVENS, and reissues by THELONIOUS MONK, MERCURY REV, CLANNAD, PLANXTY, CHRISTY MOORE, BELL X1.. Loads been added, and all up at
Right so, on with what’s out next week, the 10th of July.. Sorry getting ahead of myself, it’s not just ‘Welllllerrrr’ (ye heard that story once to many I think)… Out on the 3rd also.. THE CHARLATAN’s reissue of ’10th and 11th’, SPARKS new album on Deluxe CD, 2LP Vinyl or 2LP Picture Disc, VANGELIS reissue, new WILLIE NELSON, new RAY LAMONTAGNE, new BURY TOMORROW album also…
So the 10th of July we have the new LAURA MARLING album ‘Song For Our Daughter’.. Lovely marbled indies only vinyl available for it.. THE STREETS have a new album out also with an indies only blue vinyl, GLASS ANIMALS have a new album as does MARGO PRICE, again with an indies only coloured vinyl.. Her debut was really good from a few years back
Warner for the 10th of July have the DMA’s new album, GRATEFUL DEAD ‘Workingman’s Dead’ 50th Anniversary 3CD or 3LP, new album by PVRIS as well as RUFUS WAINWRIGHT’s brand new album..
Sony have the REO SPEEDWAGON ‘The Hits’ reissue on vinyl
Right so, moving on to releases for the 17th of July and as with every other week the order book is open for new stuff or old stuff, and it promises to be a bumper week… The BOB DYLAN vinyl is out… It’s a good album, have been playing the CD in the shop over recent weeks.. Watching No Direction Home also at the moment.. Speaking of music docs, The Beastie Boys one is just excellent.. Well worth a watch.. Anyway, DYLAN Vinyl, still some (not many) of the Olive coloured indies LP left.. I honestly doubt if I will have any / many on release date.. Standard black vinyl available also..
Sony also for the 17th have the new FIONA APPLE album ‘Fetch The Bolt Cutters’ on CD, standard LP or indies only coloured LP.. Ten out of ten on Pitchfork.. Best rating in nearly 10 years I believe.. I’m not a great believer in reviews… On man’s meat kind of the.. I was banging on about Sufjan earlier and some of you may get it but a lot of ye may not… It’s not a right or wrong thing, music.. I feel anyway, if you get something positive out of whatever, then it’s a good thing, we all like different things.. So reviews I take with a pinch of salt.. But 10 out of 10 is as good as it gets I suppose.. I have not heard any of the album, just making a point, an I.M.O point… I am looking forward to hearing it … Wrapped meself in knots a little there… Sony for the 17th of July also have the new album by DIXIE CHICK’s ‘Gaslighter’ out for release, and lastly but not lastly for sure Sony have the DEPECHE MODE ‘Violator’ 12” Singles Boxset.. €160 best price job on this..
Warner for the 17th of July have the 40th Anniversary Coloured Vinyl Reissue of JOY DIVISION’s ‘Closer’, as well as the 12” Singles ‘Atmosphere‘, ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart‘, and ‘Trasmission‘… Little positive price error on this one.. Not from this corporation but the other corporation involved. Price is now €25 and not €28.. Anyone who bought on the site, we will issue refunds.. So I don’t have to say much about the record, do I?? And 3 quality 12”s also..
Also out on the 17th of July is Dublin band SILVERBACK’s debut album ‘Fad’, very good again I.M.O…
Universal for the 17th of July have the BOB MARLEY ‘Legend’ Picture Disc vinyl.. For retailers we are allowed just one order only on it, one bit of the cherry… Universal are also re-releasing the soundtrack to ‘Absolute Beginners’ on vinyl and CD. PAUL MCCARTNEY’s ‘Flaming Pie’ reissue is released on the 31st of July but I need to put orders up this week so if interested please let us know.. Here’s the info
Flaming Pie is the tenth solo studio album by Paul McCartney, first released in 1997. Having been heavily involved in The Beatles’ Anthology project, Paul had time to reflect on the standards he and his bandmates had set during their career, and applied these to what would become his first album in four years. Made in a much more spontaneous style, with songs recorded here and there, mostly on holiday, it’s an album that luxuriates in its own sense of fun.
Featuring producers George Martin and Jeff Lynne, as well as musicians including Steve Miller, Ringo Starr and his own son, James McCartney, Flaming Pie would go on to become one of Paul’s most acclaimed albums. Sales were brisk, with the album only kept from the Number 1 slot on both sides of the Atlantic by the cultural phenomenon that was the Spice Girls’ Spice album. Released on 31st July and available as

Universal for the 17th also have new albums by ELLIE GOULDING and SAMANTHA CRAIN… Universal are also doing a rerun of the complete QUEEN studio albums, again on coloured vinyl.. The initial ran 4/5 years ago, and the coloured vinyl did not las long, and was repressed on black vinyl, then the coloured ones are back again now.. Best price job… Sit down now… €430…
Lastly Universal have reissues by MARVIN GAYE ‘Every Great Motown Hit’ vinyl, and ‘His Classic Duets’ vinyl as well as a FALL OUT BOY greatest hits vinyl called ‘Believers Never Die’…
Don;t forget we have our two competitions running for the singed test pressing of MICK FLANNERY’s ‘Alive’ album out on 24th of July… Draw on 24th of July… I have heart it all and it’s a great live album.. And the following week the 31st of July is the release of FONTAINES D.C.’s sophomore album and we have a signed test pressing and some signed prints with that one.. Their new tune is great once again.. You can pre-order both records here :
Sin é for this week folks

Right so, releases for the 10th of July (and I’ll gladly take requests as always)… Sorry forgot the 3rd of July sees the release of the new BURY TOMORROW album standard vinyl and picture disc vinyl as well as the new WILLIE NELSON album ‘First Rose Of Spring’.. Some man is Wille.. I’m not sure which recent album it was and there’s a picture of Willie at the desk of the studio with a big bag of weed in front of him.. He is 87 years young now and believe it or not this is his 70th solo studio album.. He seems to like the studio eh hem, eh hem…
Right July 10th… One I am personally looking forward to is the new LAURA MARLING record, ‘Song For Our Daughter’. CD, Vinyl or Indies Only Vinyl… Her last record was one of my favourite albums of 2017, ‘Semper Femina’, so I am looking forward to it. The Indies Only vinyl is either D2C or Indies Only Shops…
Warner for the 10th of July have the new release from DMA’s ‘The Glow’, which has an indies only vinyl… They also have a GRATEFUL DEAD 50th Anniversary reissue of ‘Workingman’s Dead’, new album by PVRIS and a brand new album by RUFUS WAINWRIGHT ‘Unfollow The Rules’ on CD, deluxe CD or 2LP…

Dublin band Silverbacks debut album is out via Cargo on 17th July also, the record is called ‘Fad’ and is on CD, LP or indies LP… I don’t know if you have heard this 5 piece or not?? Excellent tunes in my opinion.. I am really looking forward to this one… Check ’em out…. Here is a tune or two from them :
On the Irish scene and I nearly forgot to mention the R.S.A.G Vinyl ‘Chroma’ is due to us this week or latest next week, and I have one word for it… Brilliant!!
Sin é for this week folks,
Thanks for listening,
Ray, Bobby and Shane,
Hope you and yours are doing alright…. Keep at it… We all have to truck on with our new reality don’t we… A pain in the liathroidí I know but it is what it is.. Nearly 1600 lives lost.. It probably could have been way worse at this point… Still sobering figure isn’t it, 1574 I think… Christy Dignam’s dad one of them.. I don’t know if ye saw the RTÉ documentary on Christy a few years back (well worth a watch, may even still be on the RTÉ player) but his dad had a part in the doc.. Salt from the very earth.. A lovely man… Horrible disease…
Right onto the tunes.. Due into the emptyvessel.ie this week are new albums by STEVE EARLE, THE 1975 (CD only for now), BADLY DRAWN BOY and TIM BURGESS.. The shop had a little bit of interaction with Tim on Twitter lately and he gave us a lovely shout out yesterday… He has been a legend with his Twitter Listening Parties in the last few months, and people have revolved their days around these listening events, very inclusive and helping give people a tangibly purposeful participation every day, crucially without any motive.. The passion for music, records and helping people are all clearly visible to see… Top quality everywhere.. Tim’s new record is out Friday and you can buy it here if you like..
Next week the 29th we have new release by CHRISTINE AND THE QUEENS, IGGY POP ‘The Bowie Years’ CD set, PRINCE latest batch of reissues including ‘Up All Nite With Prince : The One Nite Alone Collection’ 4CD/DVD, ‘One Nite Alone… Live!’ 4LP, ‘One Nite Alone… The Aftershow : It Ain’t Over’ 2LP, ‘Rainbow Children’ vinyl, and ‘One Night Alone’ vinyl, and the new TEDDY THOMPSON album..
I think there are a few things there and in fairness I do think the releases are improving a bit for June and July.. So that’s a positive.. We all need a way to find to do our business safely if we can… I think I may have got my phases mixed up.. I thought it was 20KM from the 18th of May but I think it was only 5KM so if in the radius with work or home… Remote collection firmly available.. 021-4967119, stock it in yer phone… One of us here more or less Monday to Friday 10-6, more less except until 4:30 on Monday… The Shane boy is starting back today also which is great… We are back to a three piece.. A remote three piece… But pieced back together again… Order book always open folks… Email or phone… Website always open also..
Right so before I drive on with releases for the 5th of June and maybe the 12th of June (Pssttt psssttt… Pre-Orders for these a great help as they make my crystal ball less foggy), there was a couple of beauts announced again in the last few days.. I suppose the biggest announcement in the last week is the release of the unreleased NEIL YOUNG album ‘Homegrown’. The album recorded after ‘Harvest’ and before ‘Comes A Time’… Eeh not bad those two albums you could say… Reviews are very strong on it.. It was to be a Record Store Day release but it’s broken ranks (I for one not complaining about that.. Record Shops need things to sell if we are going to hang around), and it’s now out on the 19th of June.. CD, standard LP and RSD Stores Exclusive LP with a lithograph of the album artwork.. This really is a ‘lost’ treasure I feel.. ‘Lost’ albums are branded about all the time but this one seriously has my juices flowing.. 7 completely unreleased Young tracks from the 70s… 7th Heaven!! Email back if interested or buy it from the website..
Neil Young puts it best: “This album is the unheard bridge between Harvest and Comes a Time”. Recorded between June 1974 and January 1975, Homegrown was intended to come out in 1975 before Neil cancelled the release. The album has remained unreleased until now, achieving a legendary status among Neil Young fans in the process. The album is made up of twelve Neil Young songs, of which seven are previously unreleased – “Separate Ways,” “Try,” “Mexico,” “Kansas,” We Don’t Smoke It No More,” “Vacancy” and “Florida” (a spoken word narration). Also included are the first recordings of “Love Is A Rose,” “Homegrown,” “White Line, “Little Wing,” and “Star Of Bethlehem” – different versions of which would all later appear on other Neil Young albums. Neil plays solo on some tracks (guitar, piano and harmonica), and is joined by a band of friends on other tracks, including Levon Helm, Ben Keith, Karl T Himmel, Tim Drummond, Emmylou Harris and Robbie Robertson. Recorded in analog, and mastered from the original master tapes, this long-lost album is a wonderful addition to Neil’s incomparable catalogue.
Best prices are €14 on CD, €24 on standard LP and €26 on indies LP… Not sure how many of the RSD one I’ll get but will do my very best to get as many as I can…
Confetti records for the 5th of June have the reissue and remastered version of ‘High’ by THE BLUE NILE… A first timer on vinyl so a nice one for all the Blue Nile fans especially…
I see a nice version of ‘Closer’ by JOY DIVISION is coming out on the 17th of July as well as 3 classic singles… First the album gets a reissue on vinyl and is released as a crystal clear 40th Anniversary version, as well as the release of 3 non album singles on 12” with remastered audio.. ‘Transmission’, ‘Atmosphere’, and ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’.. These 12”s have not been around for a while, lovely pressings they are.. Also 40 years since the passing of Ian.. I was only six so no I don’t remember it but by 1990 I loved the two records (like so many others)… Again email us if interested or buy from the site if interested… €15 for each of the singles and €28 for the album reissue..
Also a nice one for 19th of June is BOWIE’s ‘Space Oddity’ Limited Edition 1972 Picture Disc.. €36 best price job on that..
Finally on the pre-orders on site for now, THE ACADEMIC are back with a brand new 6-Track EP due to be released on 26th of June, called ‘Acting My Age’. Hope all is well… Crikey it’s been a strange week… Lots going on ad kind of not going on.. The RSD Lists at last.. More on that later…. Firstly releases in the shop today and we have to start with our boy RORY with the new live album ‘Check Shirt Wizard : Live in 77’… Thanks to Vincent Zara, the artist who painted the cover of the album.. We have had savage demand and interest in the bespoke signed prints… Bare with us as we try to work our way through them… Some CD stock was delayed also but should today I hope!! Should be enough vinyl to do the rounds… A great honour to have the painting displayed on our shop floor.. The painting is now property of the Gallagher Family so we are truly honoured to have it on display until close of play on Saturday 7th… I hope none of ye get Martin Cahill style ambitions… Such a lovely thing to have…
Also in the good siopa Musiczone today are new ones by PAUL HEATON / JACQUI ABBOT, DEACON BLUE, MAC MILLER, NOEL GALLAGHER, JONATHAN WILSON, US GIRLS, STEPHEN MALKMUS as well as live albums by CREAM, MARILLION and reissues by THE WHO, EMBRACE, 2PAC, STATUS QUO, SIMPLE MINDS, HUMAN LEAGUE and a best of vinyl by THE CRANBERRIES…
Video is up for this week with the Bob Man back, and this week there was a lovely suprice act of (recyclable) kindness to the shop in the video! Thank you to our mystery parcel sender!
Before I move on to next week Friday the 13th of March…. A little on RSD..
I suppose most of ye know the drill with it by now… Record Store Day is a celebration of Record Shops one day a year (normally third Saturday in April unless Easter gets in the way)… Artists, bands and labels release bespoke, limited albums to support the shop and drive customers to the shops… It has flaws but above is the premise… It’s based on a strictly first come first served on Saturday morning of the 18th of April this year… The official RSD20 list is attached here but hopefully by early next week we will send out lists again but crucially with prices for each of the record companies.. So if ye can hold fire until then that would be great… Then email (is best) us back with your wish or wishes from the list ideally for me with the record company next to it… Over 500 titles so no company makes my life a lot harder in the process.. So please company name if possible… Send us back your ‘wish lists’ does not guarantee anything i’m afraid.. No promises… But it allows me to order your record (especially if it’s obscure and I may not have taken a chance on it otherwise)… There are over 500 records released so I suppose i’m asking for help with it.. Ok some are no brainers.. But others are crystal ball jobs.. So help.. Without any guarantees.. You’re some boy Raymond!!
The wish lists also allow me to fight harder when I know 10 or 12 folk are chasing The Cure releases.. I hope you have an idea of it now if RSD is new to you… For the old hands.. Same o same o… And please everyone take it in the spirit it was set up for.. To celebrate Independent Record Shops… We will get the lists out with prices and record companies early next week.. Let the fun commence… Here is the full RSD2020 list with no pricing

Okay so moving on to Friday the 6th of March (today’s alright release wise to be fair isn’t it?).. The biggest one for us is the RORY GALLAGHER release (obviously enough… Rory being the biggest legend this city has ever produced… I’d say that across all fields… So yes exciting one for us… Even nicer to have Vincent Zara the artist who painted the brilliant cover of the album ‘Check Shirt Wizard 1977’ involved with us…. An honour for us really…) We hope to have the original waiting to display a little bit around the launch and ye know the story with the signed prints… €25 they are… Cost and charity is where that money is going.. Not too many left… Here’s an image..
Really looking forward to the release here, best price job on the LP is €35 and €18 on the CD… I may have mentioned lower price on CD a week or two ago, but I got it wrong… Sorry.. Sorry… So that’s the Rory release…. Atdaboy.. (Corkonian’s may only decode it)… The record is on 3LPs or 2CDs via Chess / UMC…
Following on from the highly successful ‘BLUES’ album, Chess/UMC are proud to be releasing ‘Check Shirt Wizard- Live In ‘77’. This 20-song, previously unreleased, set is culled from four shows (London, Brighton, Sheffield and Newcastle) during an early 1977 tour across the UK in support of Rory’s then latest album ‘Calling Card’. Featuring fantastic live versions of tracks from that album as well as songs from the 1975 ‘Against The Grain’ album and other live favourites.
This new album has been mixed from the original multi track tapes from the Rory archive, which were recorded by the Rolling Stones and Jethro Tull’s mobile studios and mastered at Abbey Road.
Rory Gallagher’s most popular albums have always been his live ones, such as ‘Live! In Europe’, ‘Irish Tour ’74’ and Stage Struck. He was an artist that came alive when onstage and this album covers a previously undocumented live period. “The whole concert was taped on the Jethro Tull Maison Rouge mobile by the way, and from where I was standing that concert on record would surpass the classic “Live in Europe” album. And that’s saying a lot.” Brian Harrigan Melody Maker – 1977, Hammersmith Odeon, London.
Universal also for the 6th of March have the new PAUL HEATON AND JACQUI ABBOTT album ‘Manchester’s Calling’ on CD or 2LP… Underated dude is Heaton I feel person… Some man for a melody and even better turn of phrase… That’s my tuppence worth anyway.. Will be giving this a few listens also next week… Universal for the 6th of March also have the SIMPLE MINDS‘ reissue of ‘Street Fighting Years’ on CD, 2CD or 4CD/DVD Box Thingy..
On 6th March, UMC will release a box set of Simple Minds’ 1989 album, Street Fighting Years. Produced by Trevor Horn (and Stephen Lipson), Street Fighting Years was the band’s fourth number one album in the UK and featured their first UK number one single, Belfast Child. An artistically ambitious and elegant album, it arrived at a time of personnel changes. It saw the band reduced to a trio of Jim Kerr, Charlie Burchill and Mick MacNeil with session musicians playing the bass and most of the drum roles (notably Manu Katché from Peter Gabriel’s band and former Police drummer, Stewart Copeland).
Recorded in Scotland between 1988 and 1989, it was also a stylistic departure from the sound of Simple Minds’ previous album, Once Upon a Time. After 10 years of recording and releasing music, the band had learnt their craft, becoming skilled musicians and songwriters. This resulted in an album with a sense of drama and cinematic in quality. Having recently turned 30 years of age, and at the end of an incredibly divisive decade in British politics – not to mention global tensions – an outward-looking maturity emerged in frontman Jim Kerr’s lyric writing, which found him confronting major themes of the times.
Street Fighting Years will be released in multiple formats which are all fully endorsed by the band. The album was remastered at Abbey Road studios by Andrew Walters and contains the album as well as a bonus disc of B-sides, edits and 12 remixes and a previously unissued Verona show from 1989 round the set off. The booklet was designed by long time contributor Stuart Crouch and contains sleeve notes by Daryl Easlea who interviewed the band and producer Trevor Horn extensively for the set. They provide a fantastic insight into how the album was recorded and produced.
Also with us from Universal is CREAM ‘Final Tour 1968’ 4CD set as well as STATUS QUO Deluxe CDs of ‘Perfect Remedy’, ‘Rock Till You Drop’, and ‘Thirsty Work’…
I could be still going tomorrow with all the releases… DEACON BLUE have a new album, 11 new songs… Album is called ‘City Of Love’, it’s on CD and LP… Vinyl reissues plenty also from Uni.. THE WHO ‘Kids Are Alright’, and ‘Quadrophenia’ on 2LPs.. 2PAC’s excellent ‘Me Against The World’ vinyl and EMBRACE ‘The Good Will Out’, GLEN CAMPELL’s sweet greatest his ‘Gentle On My Mind’, speaking of underrated.. THE CRANBERRIES Best Of ‘In Dreams’ sees a vinyl release and MARILLION ‘Less Is More’ vinyl, and Uni could have a KATE TEMPEST 7” Single tucked in the also…

CD and indies only LP on this one..U.S. Girls release their 7th album, via 4AD on CD, LP and Indies Only LP..
One that caught my ear more than most (could have been my mood now too!!) was debut by HONEY HARPER ‘Starmaker’ is the name of the album… It’s kind of spaced out country if that’s a genre… Psychedelic Country Music.. There you go.. Here’s a tune..
Few words on RSD for this year folks… It’s that time of year again!! Lists due out next week so will have them out to ye as soon as possible with pricing and etc as always.. Should be a special newsletter soon with what’s coming, and information on dates that wish lists will be needed in by… Again folks, with wish lists.. If you let us know that you are after something we will make sure to have it ordered and hopefully have it on the shelf the morning of RSD on Saturday April 18th 2020..

Universal for the 24th have the next batch of THIN LIZZY vinyl reissues… Big hitters here in “Nightlife”, “Fighting” and of course “Jailbreak”… Can do a best price pre-order job on these €21 also people … Where ya going with the one euro Raymond boy…? Well i’m trying to do as good a price as I can and I know a euro doesn’t matter a shite in the scheme of things but with these best price jobs I still try to make a certain % margin and it makes me feel better when i’m at that % margin… So humour me I suppose!
Universal also for the 24th have some SAM COOKE VINYL reissues “Encore” and the self titled one also as well as “The Complete Keen Years 57 – 60” 5CD set by Sam, there’s a vinyl release of RIVERDANCE “Music from the Show”, there’s a reworking of the latest BREAKING BENJAMIN album and there is a a reissue of “Live in Moscow” 2CD or 2LP by ELTON JOHN and RAY COOPER.
Lastly from universal NICHOLAS GODIN (AIR) has a new atmospheric album out on Because music called “Concrete and Glass”… It’s available as a CD/LP combo or stand alone cd.
THE ORCHARD for the 24th of jan has new albums by GILL LANDRY, THE WOOD BROTHERS, CASPIAN and OCTOBER DRIFT.
So there the releases for the 24th (or the ones I thought were worth hawking to ye anyway) so I suppose without being drop dead gorgeous, not a bad week.
Right so… The greatest best of 2019 albums lists ever made part infinite… Far response to this so thank ye all (who did) for participating… Few hours work in getting them sorted but I was excited about it if i’m to be honest… T’was fair close in the end, and overall very close also, we will have a live draw for the €50 Voucher Winner on the video as Bill O’Herlihy would say LIVE… Not cant get more exciting than that!!
There was only 10 points between the Top 3 in the overall category, and the winner to be fair appeared most frequently on the lists… So deserved I suppose… The MZ table don’t lie..
And a remarkable result in the Irish album category.. A fecking draw… I kid you not…123 votes each… It’s 00.18 on Friday morning and I have just recounted them… Yep 123 votes each!!
(you’ll hear it more in the coming weeks people… Your vote matters!)
More on our special night on the 8th of Feb next week also as the evening slipped by without me saying to much about it…

How’s it going?
Hope all is well enough…
Not a whole heap released today really, (the STOCKTON’s WING release was moved to next Friday the 17th, the re-ups are starting to land back in like Fontaines and Lankum and more) but we do have the excellent DAVID KEENAN album on CD and LP, had a few listens today and he’s the real deal in fairness, worth checking out..
Video back up and running!! Check it out here!!
Next week Friday the 17th we have the aforementioned STOCKTON’S WING Compilation on LP and CD.
Also via Universal for the 17th we have the new BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB album on Caroline / Island records, their first record in 6 years… It’s on CD, LP or Ltd Deluxe 2LP pressed at 45 RPM… Downloads included with the vinyl presses… Singles sound decent enough on this.
HALSEY is back with a new album “Manic” on Virgin / EMI on CD or Vinyl as well as a new MARCUS KING solo album “El Dorado” on Spinefarm Records again CD and Vinyl and lastly there is a new ANTI FLAG album.
Quick boring housekeeping.. Opening hours… Same as last week… Closed on Sundays and Mondays… 10.30 to 6 on Tuesdays, 2 to 6 on Wednesdays, 10 to 6 on Thursday and Friday and 10 to 5 on Saturday… Deanrock Cottages on google will put you right at the entrance to our Business Park… We are in there alright right next door to rock bingo… Sin sin till I repeat myself again next week … We are here.. I know its the first week of Jan but we are here..
Right so, as Frank Gallagher may shamelessly say “we’re having a f**king parteee”… Well I don’t want to scare anyone away and it’s not exactly the whole sceal… A bit of a shindig alright, but not Gallagher style … The corporation are throwing a few birds at one stone alright… Here’s the sceal… Hope you might consider it.
Cork’s own JOHN BLEK has a new record ‘The Embers’ out on Friday the 7th of Feb and we here at the MZ Corp are hosting a very special in-store to coincide with the album launch on Saturday evening the 8th of Feb at 7PM kick off… Here’s “empty pockets” from what is another beautiful record.
So it’s our first in-store in To(u)gher and we have had a fairly hairy 5 months but like Elton John… Blah blah blah… Bob is back today which is brilliant (a newsletter in itself) Shane boy is here all the time, again brilliant and a lot of ye have dug us out of this hole we were in… So we are having a little night (well hopefully a big night!) where we invite ye folks to our new humble abode in the heart of Togher for what promises to be a brilliant instore.
We shall have some beverages if you want a beverage (if you drink funny types of beverages, bring your own!)… Try persuade the better halfs to drop ye over or bring a driver or just drive yourself and call in and say hello… Carpark is ours for the night so will be plenty room out there.
So it’s an instore party with some top quality original tunes by Mr Blek, a thank you to Shane boy, a welcome back to the Bob man and a little nod to our shareholders… Thanks.
The corporation is offering a 20% discount off one item on the night…. So if you have been eyeing something up but never got to it… Saturday the 8th is the night for it… Terms and conditions apply like any good corporation… It can’t be anything you have away already or anything released since Jan 1st 2020 and I might have to see on the stuff that is reduced already .. So basically I can make them up as I go along… Ah no no no its basically those conditions above… So pencil it in with the boss or bring em along, bring the kids if you want… We would love to see ye… Some of us may drift to a public house as the night darkens.
And don’t worry either… Going out can be like going to the dentist for folks our age but sure ye have the info now and a few weeks notice… See what ye can do or cant as the case may be.
Warner for the 17th of Jan have a new COURTEENERS album on Parlophone, DAVID BYRNE releases “American Utopia on Broadway”, reissue on Rhino of MC5s “Kick Out The Jams” as well as STEVIE NICKS “Bella Donna” and UNCLE TUPELO “Anodyne”… Lastly Warner have a MIDGE URE Singles Collection.
PIAS for the 17th Jan have new albums by BILL FAY, ALICE BOMAN, ALGIERS and a reissue by DWIGHT YOAKAM of “Blame the Vain”.
The ORCHARD for the 17th of Jan have a new album by AND YOU WILL KNOW US BY THE TRAIL OF THE DEAD as well as a SONS OF APOLLO Limited 2CD of new album “MMXX”.
Right so albums of the year… Drum roll… Eehhh nah….. I tell ye, i’m getting fairly excited over it as its coming together nicely but i am chasing one last push… So until next Weds to have your say… Email us top 5 albums of 2019… 50 euro voucher up for grabs but the more enter the better picture we get of the taste in the siopa… As Stephen Stills might say for what its worth, here are my top 5’s..
Albums of the year.
5. JOHN BLEK – THISTLE & THORN
4. LANA DEL REY – NORMAN FUCKING ROCKWELL
3. MICK FLANNERY – SELF TITLED
2. TINDERSTICKS – NO TREASURE BUT HOPE
1. A LAZARUS SOUL – THE D THEY PUT BETWEEN THE R & L (obviously if I have it as my album of the year, it resonated with me… And man did it do that… Every song tells such a story that you are transported into the characters lives… I think it’s a savage piece of work, hence numero uno…shades of new model army in parts)
IRISH ALBUMS OF THE YEAR
GIGS OF THE YEAR
- Saving Grace : The Everyman
- Mick Flannery : St Lukes
- Villagers : Cypress Avenue
- John Blek : The Seomra
- Microdisney : Cypress Avenue
I may have preferred some of the instores as they would be more personal to me but I went for remote gigs.
That’s my tuppence worth … It’s all subjective. It was a good year for new music I felt, a few months of it completely passed me by… Nearly everyone has different votes but in general a nice blend rises to the top so shout in yours to us.

I have decided to do my orders from home on Mondays to help me get a good start to the week…get a bit ahead of myself…so that newsletters arent been sent out on saturday nights at midnight!! Ease my workload a little …so that’s the craic with Mondays…i hope ye understand.
Weds has always been wholesaling day for me for over 10 years now …to cut a long story short…i sell kids dvds and a few cds on floor spinners in a few shops around the county ( i do it on a weds only) ..i started it in 2009 when things were really starting to go shite and it probably helped keep us open in 10, 11 and 12 before things started to settle…its less and less now but I still need to get out for 3 or 4 hours every weds so that’s the craic with weds …i’m not polishing my yachts!
So i hope that’s cool…if anyone wants me to hang around on a friday evening, thats cool also just give me an auld email and we can sort it out.
Tis a bit different now, i hope you can understand.
Right so, first point of major note is the albums of 2019 reminder …come on folks get them over to us…the top 5 albums of 2019, also top 5 Irish albums of 2019 and if you want top 5 gigs of 2019 …50 euro voucher for the siopa for one participant …if you only want to send your top 5 full stop that’s cool… we would like as good a reflection as possible of the taste of our dear patrons so top 5s please folks …thanks to those who have already.
Right so before we dive into short term releases and mise repeating myself from the last newsletter…there are new albums on the near horizons from DRIVE BY TRUCKERS, TAME IMPALA, JONATHAN WILSON, GERRY CINNAMON, WIRE, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, GREEN DAY, PET SHOP BOYS , GREG DULLI ( AFGHAN WHIGS) and ISOBEL CAMPELL to name a few so hopefully it will be an OK start to the year in the current abode…unit 4 deanrock business park …nb nb nb use Deanrock cottages on google maps or sat navs etc and you will be right outside the business park where we are …Deanrock cottages folks…then we are right next door to Rock Bingo …obviously the next few months could be scary so if you need anything, try to think of us…sound out.
Right so .releases for the 10th of Jan …the biggie i suppose is the DAVID KEENAN album “ a beginners guide to bravery” on CD or LP , there are some TOWNES VAN ZANDT vinyl reissues of “ our mother the mountain” and self titled album.
Here’s a taster to the much anticipated DAVID KEENAN album
Uni for the 10th have the STOCKTON’S WING collection which features hits, rare tracks and unreleased tracks..cd and lp on this one also.
Uni have a limited edition picture disc to the new Charlies Angels soundtrack, some nice Blue Note vinyl reissues by ART BLAKEY, PETE LE ROCA and TONY WILLIAMS.
Sony for the 10th have a new CD by KESHA.
Started reductions on the vinyl sections over the last 3 or so working days…so a nice few reductions at the counter and lots more in the section …as I left work earlier today i was just starting R so a fair bit through them…hope to finish them tomorrow…20, 30, 40 and 50 percent off in places so worth a little look if in.
Pias for the 10th of Jan have a new FIELD MUSIC album…a concept album about the after effects of world war one…heres a taster
as well as THE FLAMING LIPS featuring the colorado symphony orchestra “ the soft bulletin” recorded live at red rocks on 2lps.
Sin about e so for this so folks,
A tentative step for all mankind this week
Thanks for listening,

Video up here again for this week folks
Couple of nice gigs over the weekend before last.. VILLAGERS put on a great musical treat… One issue the chatter brigade seemed to be intern… Ah look some have more tolerance I suppose but it drives me bonkers a bit… Not a few words here and there… Im not from 1940s Germany… But full blown chats with roaring laughter as the 4 women and 2 men had for the half hour I spent near to them… Back of the room please, back of the room… Chat away there.. I moved away to a nice spot for 20 minutes to then have 4 drunken women arrive (who knew the songs but we load and lairy).. Now they were loud at a really quiet part of the show.. So they were being ”shushed” so they responded with loads and loads of loud ”shushing” of their own… Maybe i’m just a grumpy middle aged git… Enjoyed the gig despise my grumbling there…
SAVING GRACE with Robert Plant on vocals were just sweet.. The 75 minutes they were on stage just flew… Could hear a pin drop… Beautifully played songs by the band.. American Roots stuff.. Songs going back to other centuries… Couple of Patty Griffin covers and a Low cover of ‘Everybody’s Song’, and sine serious kind and big words from Planty about Low the band… Saving Grace were fab, the banjo player brilliant and had the sweetest voice (maybe my highlight when he took the lead vocals)… Thats some going with Robert Plant on stage and the other lead vocalist exceptional as well.. Suzi Diann I think her name is… Plant kind of seductively skulked about the stage (mindful of his footing.. he is 70 isn’t he so he didn’t want a hopper) for a lot of the night… In great form it seemed to me in his plain black tee, black jeans and black boots… He oozed it… Just oozed it.. It begged a question… If Plant wasn’t on stage, then very arguably the music would have been just as good as the other 4 musicians were just top top class.. was it who he is or who he was that captivated everyone in the theatre, or was it because he has something special??.. Said it earlier.. He oozed it.. But more than backed up by four very capable and excellent musicians.. Top night out… Monday is the new Saturday…
Right so on to releases for the 2nd of August, Warner have the BAD COMPANY ‘Swan Song Years’ 6CD boxset on Rhino, JEFF TWEEDY ‘Warm / Warmer’ 21 track CD, NICK CAVE + WARREN ELLIS ‘The Road’ remastered and reissued LP on coloured vinyl, Skillet ‘Victorious’ new album on Roadrunner CD only for now, CARNIFEX new album ‘World War X’, and lastly from Warner for the 2nd of August is a live SAXON box set ‘The Eagle Has Landed’ as either 5LP or 3CD sets…
Tad quiet for the 2nd of August… Sony Music have nada out.. They are moving house or distribution to Cinram from Sony DADC who are shutting up shop soon enough… Another dagger for the physical industry… Cinram distribute PIAS and CARGO to us already.. A bit slower than Sony DADC but ok service I suppose.. They only ship out on Tuesday and Thursday so if you miss the Tuesday cut off of 11AM then it won’t ship till Thursday and if it misses a sailing then it’s Monday which is a week.. Sony DADC were never a week from the order day… So hopefully that doesn’t happen to often… That’s before Borisland and what that holds for all our futures.. A No Deal Brexit very very real now I feel and what shite that will bring to us all… We will have to wait and see…
PIAS for the 2nd of August have a new IDLES 7” single… Two new songs in fact, a brand new TY SEGALL ‘First Taste’ and the JASON ISBELL ‘Live at the Twist + Shout’ LP Release… Was out on coloured vinyl for RSD
Uni for the 2nd of August have a new VOLBEAT album “Rewind, Replay, Rebrand” on Jewel CD, 2CD Digi and Black 2LP as well as the soundtrack on vinyl to the 2001 smash hit film ‘Shrek’… Great soundtrack also.. It’s a first timer on vinyl.. Universal also have the debut album by Irish artist SIBEÁL and lastly CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL release “Live in Woodstock” as a limited 2LP or 1CD versions…
Last week I was rabbiting on about how the physical industry is trying to eat itself (more on it next week actually) well for now here’s a little example of one thing that goes on… Freddie Mercury’s estate released a 7” Picture Disc single and a CD single today of ‘Time Waits For No One’.. I tried to get some as I would have sold some (kinda my job) but they were only available on his website… Now as ye know Freddie is gone, so the estate (Mary is it?) just sell them on his website.. Absolutely, they can do that… Just cause I’m going to sell a few can’t and won’t change that… Tough tiddles Thomas.. They are 1000% entitled to do it but if we don’t get offered anything to sell, we’ll only be around as long as Cork in a hurling championship… I’ve three points…
1). We can’t control it and have no right to control it.. It’s purely tough tiddles Thomas…
2). I’d imagine the estate of Mr Mercury aren’t short a few bob or two, so why not let the shops have some..
3.) This is the most crucial one… It’s not sold out on his website… Folks idolise this man and his band (murky water Queen we will say) so fans not being able to get it isn’t right really… Do enough to give them to the shops.. But sure i’m bound to say that.. Will have to get on to my dentist about it.. If he gives me permission i’ve a great Freddie story..
I’m off for a little over a week folks, finishing next Thursday evening the 1st of August and not back until the 12th or 13th of August, so the Bob man and Shane man will have the reigns of duty… I’ll do half the newsletter next week and Bob will finish it and he’s flying solo the week after…
Last thing re THE MURDER CAPITAL in the Crane Lane… Strong likelihood this band will never again be found in a venue this size… Just saying is all… Links to new album below.. Pre-Order a product and gain entry to the Cork Album launch show on Thursday Aug 15th..
Sin é for this week folks…
We will all be glad of the break of the newsletters anyway won’t we!!
Go raibh maith agat as do chluas a thabhairt
Hope your all well..
Man it’s been a long day (Thursday) but i’m sure ye have about as much interest in listening to it as I have in telling it…
Right so releases for today include brand new albums by THE DECEMBERISTS, YO LA TENGO, JOAN BAEZ, THE STUNNING, and JOHN WILLIAMS’ New score to The Last Jedi Star Wars film..
Reissues in the Music Zone Emporium Of Fine Things today include remastered versions of the RORY GALLAGHER catalogue…15 titles on LP… Sweet… Loads of “Rorys” around my age… The boy made an impact in more ways than one.. I know a lot of ye have wish listed to us the RORY Live in France RSD release… It will probably be the biggest RSD release the shop has ever had… I am mildly confident we will get a fairly decent fill on it but only 750 copies in the UK and here… Not a lot….. The Cork card will work in our favour I hope… But there will be big big demand for this so look all i’m saying is we can only do what we can do… Set your alarms now i’d say and no shouting at us please.. Life’s too short
As im on the RSD thing, there is a faller at the first… Disappointing one for a few JOY DIVISION fans i’d say but the WARSAW album is a goner… Got an email a few days back… Not happening, no real explanation..
“The WARSAW / WARSAW title has been CANCELLED and will not be available as part of our RSD offers. Please advise any of your customers that this release is on hold for the time being.”
Bron orm aris folks… Anyway other reissues today include an expensive import of THE CRANBERRIES Debut album, reworking / remix of THUNDERCAT album “Drank”, some lovely COCTEAU TWINS reissues, PARADISE LOST and KEANE reissues..
Video up here.. Give it a thumbs up on YouTube and be sure to subscribe
Moving on so to releases for the 23rd of March Warner have the LED ZEPPELIN “How the West Was Won” remastered album on 4LP or 3CD or super douper deluxey boxset thingy ma job… Oh there is a Bluray audio format also…
Warner also has the new single from the MOZ man (heard rather mixed reviews of the gig lately in Dublin… Treading dangerous ground here Raymond boy better back off… Sorry didn’t hear anything actually) on 7” “My Love, I’d Do Anything For You” any truth that the Moz man didn’t write this and that it was a bunch of superfans??…
Speaking off superfans… We had a JACK WHITE Superfan in the shop last week, all the way from Canada… Was in Ireland on holiday, heard of the listening party, sought us out and won the second prize of the JW Tote bag… Superfan, superfan.. Knows JW from all the gigs he has been to… Follows him around on tour.. Gets his plecs.. Spends all his money on seeing Jack White… You get my drift… He didn’t want second prize though… This dude queued for 22 hours to get that RSD single (you know the one…the fastest single recorded, pressed and sold ever…3hours 55 minutes… I think, around there anyway…) by JACK WHITE a few years back, only 300 of them pressed… So our Canadian friend (and he was sound as a bell to be fair to him, I liked him) drew one of our regulars out of the hat to win the bespoke 7” which was to be draw in each participating store… Again around 300 i’d say.
Comp is over and our Canadian friend offers to buy the 7” from our guy, (our guy is sound as a bell also) our guy quickly glances my way… Shit, what do I do he is probably thinking, what will Ray think if I flip it here in front of him like… I aint flipping no way… “No your grand bud, sorry”
What was Ray thinking..?
Not a fan of flipping or people who flip to be blunt and honest… Mainly because it is done by someone who has no interest to ultimately catch someone who has loads of interest… Ye know the deal, it’s a tout basically… But here is a greyer area in the world of flippin… our guy likes JW a lot, turned up for the listening party sure, likes music a lot, supports the shop, supports the local scene… All good… Our Canadian friend is a superfan who really really wants the 7” record… Is it really flippin if they cut a deal…?
I didn’t give a flying hoot to be honest is what I was thinking in this example… I had to leg it from the shop soon after and our two main characters in our soap opera were still shooting the breeze (I think our Canadian friend was trying to prove his superfan wordiness by telling JW stories).
It ended with an offer of 200 euro for the one track 7”… A declined offer… He went back to Canada with an empty tote bag and a heartful of dreams…. Take your time me young bucko…. Man, our guy must have been tempted… 200 bucks… I’ll see him soon and find out, if he hasn’t flipped it on ebay for 500 and taken a holiday to Canada with other JW singles…
You swear I had time to one finger type that tale… Well I didn’t.
Lastly from Warners for next week are the first seven TOM WAITS Albums remastered on CD.
Pias have the new JACK WHITE album for the 23rd (oh no, not again!!) “Boarding House Reach” on XL in conjunction with Third Man Records (lovely, nutty note in shop from third mans Ben Blackwell up on the wall now).. Available on LP and CD… Diverse but interesting listen (one full listen at our parteee).. I have a few posters and button badges to give away to those who preorder the album with us… So let us know if interested folks…
PIAS also have the reissue of “Cease To Begin” by BAND OF HORSES on gold vinyl as well as debut “Everything All The Time” on red vinyl. Nice little album out via PIAS also next friday the 23rd, JOSIENNE CLARKE & BEN WALKER have a new album..
Track here “Chicago” from it..
The LP format of this album contains a Bonus CD featuring 3 unreleased tracks available to indie retailers only.
PIAS also have the new PREOCCUPATIONS album as well as a blast of reissues by SHINS “Chutes Too Narrow”, “Wincing The Night”, “Oh Inverted World” all on different coloured vinyl with codes via Sub Pop..
MOV for the 23rd have a press of JJ CALE “COLLECTED” on 3LP… I hope individually numbered gold vinyl… 3K of them.
UNIVERSAL for the 23rd of March have the the new NOW Compilation 99.. New albums by RICK PARFITT (only solo album in fact) DON MCLEAN, TONI BRAXTON, as well as a Live album by THUNDER across 5 formats, MARILLON live reissues, ZAPPA “The Roxy Performances” across 7 CDs and the new SLOW RIOT single on 7” orange vinyl (good new band…tune here)
SONY for the 23rd have the new GEORGE EZRA album “Staying at Tamaras” on CD and indies only white vinyl as well as MILES & COLTRANE “The Final Tour” Bootleg Series Volume 6…. CD only i’d say.
THE ORCHARD have the new HUDSON TAYLOR EP on the 23rd.
PROPER have a sadly timely release of PLANXTY “One Night in Bremen” live album… The sad passing of LIAM O FLYNN during the week… I think it is fair to say one of Ireland’s greatest ever musicians.
Sin e for this week’s episode folks
Thanks for listening
Hope the form is good..
Bits and pieces in the Musiczone.ie emporium for today include new albums by BRIAN FALLON (GASLIGHT ANTHEM), MAX RICHTER, MGMT, TOTO, FRANZ FERDINAND, JOAN AS POLICEWOMAN, EZRA FURMAN and JONNY GREENWOOD as well as reissues by NINA SIMONE and ELLA FITZGERALD and a live DVD by ROBERT PLANT.
We got copies of the SHAME album back in… Good auld old fashioned punk rock n’ roll… Refreshing to hear it to be honest…. Bit of bite and venom in it… We do like it in the siopa… Sky Blue vinyl still left.
We should have the new LOST BROTHERS LP and CD ‘Half Way Towards Healing’ here today as well I hope… Direct from band… No record company or distribution company involved… Sweet to deal with it from our end though… No bother (i’d like to think we are the same)… I suppose lots of bands like THE LOST BROTHERS, HAM SANDWICH, who could be signed and would have no bother getting distribution from numerous distributors… Decide to paddle their own canoe… If it’s just distribution on offer… Why would they bother… The band press the record/cd…. Sell it to distribution company who take their 25/30% and sell to the retailer who does the same… I suppose i’d argue that we as front line retailers give the record visibility, play it and talk about it… Distribution only does what it says on the tin… So why use it… Now the cloat of a big record company is probably different as you will get media exposure and radio plays… But just distribution?…a band can use its website and retail shops direct….you would be amazed though how many bands/artists are slow to deal direct though… Feel they will sell more off own their website and see no need to have bricks and mortar visibility… Again I would argue gently that we can offer something more… ButIi would I suppose.
Anyway i suppose…. Changing times all the time…. Not a whole pile happening so far this year on the release front, aside from CALEXICO and to a lesser extent NILS FRAHM and GLEN HANSARD... The shop has felt it… But till bounce back later in the year id say… March looks decent enough on the release front and I know off a few beauts RSD wise coming our way on APRIL 21… Come on, cut me some slack it’s been quiet, im allowed mention RSD.
Right so releases for the 16th of Feb… WARNER have the REJJIE SNOW CD… LP later… End of march I think, as well as new albums by THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT (Indies only orange vinyl on this one) and LAURIE ANDERSON and the KRONOS QUARTET “Landfall” on CD and LP.
PIAS for the 16th of Feb have the third installment of the BELLE & SEBASTIAN EP Trilogy as well as a CD release of the Three EPs combined and a 3EP Boxset also… One of my fave bands.
PIAS also have new albums by CAR SEAT HEADREST and MARLON WILLIAMS, a reissue of ELLA & LOUIS “Porgy & Bess” , a reissue on DLP of SUN KIL MOON’s “Ghost of the Great Highway” on Rough Trade, the new EP by RIDE and lastly WILD BEASTS “Best Of” type compilation… Indies only double coloured LP.
The Orchard have a new album by NEAL MORSE “Life and Times”, more acoustic based I think, a reissue on vinyl for the 10th anniversary of FRIGHTENED RABBITS “Midnight Organ Fight” and lastly an ARCH ENEMY 12LP box set … 200 bucks or three for 600 bucks if ya want three…1500 in the world pressed.
Music on Vinyl have a reissue (I think or is it a first timer) of the NEW YORK DOLLS “Live from Royal Festival Hall 2004” on hopefully pink vinyl… Supposed to be in fine form the band were on the night.
Finally got in from MUSIC ON VINYL the THIN LIZZY “Collected” DLP… It looks great to be fair…. Order got cut but have 4 still left to sell… 2500 pressed on silver vinyl… Should be plenty around on the black vinyl going forward if interested… MOV do their stuff really really well to be honest… Well pressed (old EMI pressing plant in Holland), well presented and price is ok for what you get I feel, and their distributor has the best system I deal with for ordering… Simple simple simple…. With all the majors if something is out of stock you have to reorder it… I.e Inxs “Kick” is out of stock… Every week after I must think and do another order for it… Crazy… For feeling so blue… Every week until its back in stock… MOV have a live programme for stock where you can attach customers names to it, do whatever you want and all very simple… Never have to think about ordering it again… Once its back in stock.. Notification… It’s back in stock… Will be with your next order… Bada bing…
Anyway again… UNIVERSAL have the second album by BORNS called “Blue Madonna”,, a VAN MORRISON Live DVD on Eagle Rock filmed at the BBC Radio Theatre, an LP reissue of KENDRICK LAMAR’s “Damn” on limited clear vinyl this time, and a reissue of 2PAC’s second album “Strictly For my N.i.g.g.a.z”… Never ignorant getting goals achieved.
Ok so the debut album by WYVERN LINGO is going to be with us on the 23rd of FEB… On your radar…???… I got an email from Shane about two years ago i’d say, sending me a link to these girls from Bray… Shane probably has the best ear in the shop (sorry Bob!) and he was mightily impressed with this band… Roll on two years and the self titled debut album is about to be released via Rubyworks and WYVERN LINGO are going to grace our little stage on Monday the 26th of Feb at 5PM…. Time isn’t great I know but this band is Quality with a capital Q, and it’s a fine coup for us to get them in…. So we would really love not to have egg on our faces at 5.30 on Monday the 26th… If you get me drift like… Really looking forward to it… Funky, soulful tunes with blissful harmonies… Proper musicians with proper tunes… It should be a good one.
Well sin é for this week folks,
Thanks for listening
Hope ye’r all doing ok..
Dolores buried this past week… Ah very sad for her.In fairness to the family… Allowing people i.e. joe public to show their respects… I’d say the mother is quality.. Terrible unimaginable thing to have to bury a child (at any age)..
Mark E Smith then this week… Maybe i’ll start looking for work as an obituary writer.. It seems like it’s going that way…
What would you say about Mark E…!
One of many many stories i’m sure, but one I read was via a record company when he was asked could they use a bit from an interview of him as an intro for a song for a new band… Mark E didn’t do email so the girl looking for the clip wrote to him and asked him… “Can’t use it” was the reply.. “Use anything else but not that”… Included in Mark E’s reply was a cassette tape… The girl, hoping for some incredible moment on the tape dashed to get a player somewhere…. C90 tape was blank, empty, zilch…. Nothing on it…. Brilliant brilliant brilliant Markie boy!
I must admit THE FALL stuff kind of passed me by to be honest… Must dig into a bit of it…I know there are 5 or 6 of ye who kind of swear by Mark E and I would trust ye’r judgements so will go digging… Interesting dude by all accounts!!
Right so I suppose.. Releases in the musiczone.ie plaza today include new (and old.. What’s The Story back in on vinyl after a long absence..) albums by CALEXICO (sounds bloody great by the way… Very impressed), NILS FRAHMS, MACHINE HEAD, BETH HART & JOE BONAMASSA, DJANGO DJANGO and NIGHTMARE ON WAX, as well as reissues by THE KILLERS, ASLAN, FUTURE SOUND OF LONDON, BEAUTIFUL SOUTH, THE HOUSEMARTINS (maybe put back a week), JEFF WAYNE’S WAR OF THE WORLDS, SINCERELY L COHEN and SANTANA.
So a nice little roster of releases for today to be fair. All can be viewed in this week’s video here :
Before we move on to releases for the 2nd Feb (spring is in the air) there is something a need to address… We have received numerous emails in December from various organisations… Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, NME to name a few… All asking the same question.. When is the Musiczone.ie Top 20 albums of 2017, decided upon by the Musiczone.ie corporations shareholders and customers, going to be released into the public domain?
When, when, when…?
Not saying outright that these organisations were trying to get a feel from the corporations customers about what was good or not… But we were hounded..
Is that smoke ye feel blowing up towards ye’r bellies by now… Oh yes it is…
Anyway without further ado…

1. THE NATIONAL
The National won handy enough to be honest in the polls… The top 3 appeared quite a bit… More spread out after that…. And the winner of the 50 Euro voucher is… Drum roll please…
Dave From Cork!! (How many Dave’s are there in Cork? We’ve got great nick names for all our customers don’t we?)
Right so on to the 2nd of FEB Warner have new studio albums by SIMPLE MINDS (indes only coloured vinyl with an etching on side 4… The 20th album by the lads).. SAXON “Thunderbolt” on MC, CD, RED INDIES LP and a Box containing the lot, the RAE MORRIS new album and lastly the new CORROSION OF CONFORMITY on LP.
PIAS have the new FIELD MUSIC album for the 2nd of Feb again as an indies only coloured vinyl on pre-orders only, as well as some old rock n’ roll LP reissues from the likes of CHUCK BERRY, EDDIE COCHRAN, ELVIS and also JACQUES BREL and JOHN COLTRANE.
THE ORCHARD for the 2nd have new albums by AWOLNATION and JOHN OATES (HALL & OATES)
ROM have the repress of THE LEVELLERS 3 LP greatest hits.
SONY have new album by JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE called “Man Of The Woods”… The title does not instill confidence in me… Book by cover Raymond please.. Now now.
Uni have a couple of MAGAZINE LP reissues, MUDDY WATERS – Best Of LP in mono, METALLICA “And Justice For All” LP reissues, as well as new albums by POPPY ACKROYD CD and LP, IAMX “Alive In New Light” and JOHANN JOHANNSSON “The Mercy” OST on CD only. Lastly from Universal we have a super douper deluxe boxset thingy of the first ROXY MUSIC album as well as a BEE GEES live DVD and Bluray “One For All Tour In Australia”
Just on the whole albums of the year thingy… Game of opinions I think we said in the past once or twice.. Here’s my choices..
6. Happy Abandon – Facepaint : I really liked it, still do… Great orchestral feel to a lot of it, played it a load all year… Really like it
5. Mount Eerie – A Crow Looked At Me : A sparse album about death, pain and loss basically… No cheerios with warm milk in this one….. But if you can take it it’s really worth the listen if only for a reality check… Phil Elverum wrote this album about the cancer that came into his family’s life and ultimately took his wife… Maybe if you have suffered loss in recent times you may get something out of it… It’s a bloody harrowing listen… Opening line
“Death is real, someone is there and then their not”
I came very close to buying the records in for the shop direct from the record label in the states but I had to buy 20 to get them shipped and just was a bridge too far I thought…. Harrowing but recommended.
4. THE NATIONAL – Sleep Well Beast : A fine album… Plenty and plenty of good songs… ‘Nuff said
3. TALOS – Wild Alee : A gorgeous listen in my opinion… Just gorgeous… Outside money for the Choice Award
2. JOHN BLEK – Catharsis Vol. 1 : Seriously underated dude… Beautiful songs and guitar work… Excellent
1. LAURA MARLING – Semper Femina : Top class record start to finish, vocals melodies the whole shooting gallery spot on… Highly recommended.
Opinions opinions opinions….
Heres a few more from ye’rselves with some top 5s.. A nice few reviews left by ye so thank you.. Just to note from Bob-Man, this email may cut because of the reviews taking up a bit of space.. If it does, down the bottom of the page there should be a ‘view full email option’. Not sure if it will, but just in case!
1. The National: Sleep Well Beast
This one caught me by surprise. Was always aware of The National but I never really gave them a listen, always meant to but always forgot. Pure luck I was looking for something new to check out and put on the first track ‘Nobody Else Will Be There’ and it knocked me for six. Kept listening to it….definitely one of the tracks of the year for me. The album itself is a real slow burner….like all great albums, it’s a grower. Each listen keeps getting better. Songs like ‘Guilty Party’ and ‘I’ll Destroy You’ are incredible examples of this. Beautiful melodies that built and built. You hear something new every listen…when the drums kick in on the 1min 20s mark on ‘Guilty Party’….doesn’t get better than that. The only track I’m not fussed about really is ‘Day I Die’..1 out of 12 though, not bad. This album was a nice surprise for me and has been on steady rotation.
2. Feist: Pleasure
A close second. I’m a big fan of Feist. Her 2011 album ‘Metals’ was my album of the year back then so I was really looking forward to this and it didn’t disappoint. It’s essentially a Lo-fi break-up album. The sound she’s able to get out of an acoustic guitar is amazing…almost growls. Really beautiful songs. Again, takes a couple of listens but with songs like ‘Lost Dreams’ and ‘Century’ you can’t go wrong.
3. Bonobo: Migration
Another favorite artist of mine….if you’re into electronic music. Bonobo has released some amazing albums, 2013’s ‘North Borders’ is a highlight. Migration came out in January 2017 so really early on and initially I wasn’t that blown away…guess I wasn’t in the mood. But I rediscovered the album later on in the year and it just clicked. This album warrants headphones, beer/wine/coffee (whatever you tipple) and to be listened to in 1 sitting. Some lovely slow building songs here. Song’s like ‘Break Apart’, ‘Outliers’ and ‘Kerala’ really set the scene….he’s a master at creating beats (yes I said beats) and melodies.
4. LCD Soundsystem: American Dream
Another group (man?) that I’ve always heard about but never checked out. Something in my brainbox told me this year to check out their new one and it was awesome. It starts off so well…’oh baby’ a slow building synth masterpiece. And when the bass comes in on the second number ‘other voices’..wow…seriously stick on this song and at the 0:15s mark hear that bass and try not to move….holy shit!!! Very clear Talking Heads and Bowie influences here..so much so that friends have gone ‘Is that David Byrne?’. But it’s a solid album…the drumming and bass playing is top notch.
5. Four Tet: New Energy
One for the electronic heads out there. Big fan of Four Tet…his album ‘Rounds’ should be mandatory listening for everyone thinking of getting into electronic music (or just everyone)! His last few albums/releases have been very ‘house/techno’ heavy which isn’t really my cup of tea..a bit too 90s for my blood. So I was very pleasantly surprised when he dropped the first track from this album ‘Two Thousand and Seventeen’. An ambient style slow drum beat with a beautiful melody. He’s gone for more of an ambient style on this album and I can’t recommend it enough. Songs like ‘LA Trance’ are amazing in the headphones..when the drums drop..holy shit!!
1. Cigarettes After Sex – Cigarettes After Sex
A really strong debut from a band that have taken a while to release their first full length. Dreamy, sensual noir pop which couples sweet echoey guitar tones with soft, breathy vocals. One album in and they already have a perfectly defined sound. My favourite album of the year.
2. Phoebe Bridgers – Stranger in the Alps
A sombre collection of songs from an LA singer-songwriter. Very direct and personal, but tender and ethereal without sounding self indulgent. ‘Ghostly’ is the word I think describes it best.
3. James Vincent McMorrow – True Care
A surprise release that caught most people unaware’s, JVM’s fourth album has some of his best work on it. It’s raw and imperfect but somehow pushes his sound even further forward, sliding between balladry and electro-soul.
4. Slowdive – Slowdive
A fantastic comeback for the shoegaze maestros after 22 years without having recorded together. Ethereal, hazy and shimmering, it’s everything you’d want from a shoegaze record.
5. Lil Peep – Come Over When You’re Sober P1
Pennsylvania artist Lil Peep’s genre-mashing of emo/alt rock and hip hop makes for a strikingly dark record, his vacant delivery echoing the depression and frustration in the lyrics, where he discusses drug use, the rock ‘n’ roll life and his mental health. A tragic listen given his death in August aged just 21, cutting short a career that no doubt had a lot more to give.
Honourable mentions go to albums by: St Vincent, Wolf Alice, Liam Gallagher, Fionn Regan, SZA, The War on Drugs, London Grammar, And So I Watch You From Afar, Harry Styles, Gorillaz and Marlene Enright.
Just before I go i’d like to thank ANNA MITCHELL AND BAND and THE ACADEMIC for two memorable in-stores last week
Sin é for this week folks

Video is back up and running this week.. Bob-Man is on duty today. Check it out here!
Sad sad week for the music world again… Another unexpected death of a 40-something Rock Star…. And this time one of our own.
Man, I was fond of Dolores and played those first two Cranberries CDs to death… She was a couple of years older than me and maybe I had a thing for her… Couple of years older, couple of miles up the road.. A rock star at what 21… “Leave me alone ‘cos Ii found it all, 21, 21, 21 today”.
She then soon goes on to sing about being “Empty”…
I remember playing those albums in my bedroom the day of my own 21st… Trying to get a power nap before the night ahead… Excitement beat the sleep.. But I can remember as if it was yesterday listening to those two albums on my discman in the bedroom… That’s what music can do for you… It’s like a time capsule tablet in lots of ways… I remember what I was thinking that afternoon listening to those songs… That voice was just spectacular… The songs were well crafted and well wrote… Haven’t played them in a good few years but dusted them off this week and still sound great… Ah sure it’s terrible.
There’s a customer who comes into me who has met Dolores 4 or 5 times, as one of his best mates has done a lot of work with her down through the years… He spoke so highly of her…a A complete lady he said, gentle, kind, caring, quiet and unassuming, the papers may down through the years have painted a rougher edge on her and granted she made mistakes from time to time but I would believe my guy to be honest… His mate (who is fierce well known also) is devastated by it…
When you are catapulted into stardom like that… A slip of a thing from Ballybricken… Quiet, kind, gentle by nature, then this world, this industry can eat you up and spit you out… She suffered for her stardom I think like, so many more, and she was raised to see life as fun and take it if she could.. I really hope it didn’t wear you down Dolores. Rest in Peace.
Right so plenty of releases for next week the 26th and a few good ones also to be fair.
Really delighted to have the release of the new NILS FRAHM album on the Erased Tapes label… “All Melody” is the title… He is German (and arguably the best at what he does) so it probably does what it says on the tin… Thanks to Sparrow for the tip towards Nils a couple of years ago… Plenty piano, synths and pipe organ… Available on 2LP or CD…
See what ye think here…
Another nice one for the 26th out via City Slang is the new CALEXICO album …Their 9th studio album… Fine band… “The Thread That Keeps Us” sounds A-Okay from the few bits I heard… Available to indies as a limited 2CD or 2LP deluxe editions, each with 7 bonus tracks.
Another cracker… This time a reissue from Sony is the legendary JEFF WAYNE’S WAR OF THE WORLDS 40TH Anniversary Replica double gatefold sleeve with lyrics booklet… The JOE SATRIANI new LP is out next friday also the 26th.
Pias have a new NIGHTMARES ON WAX album for the 26th called “Shape The Future”.
Warner for the 26th have the new album from BETH HART and JOE BONAMASSA on Provogue on CD and Indies only 2LP Red Vinyl with codes and a bonus track with the vinyl… You probably know what your getting with it but always of high quality.
Warner now have distribution of the Nuclear Blast Label, and Universal have the Because Label… Big changes in the January transfer window… So via Warner/Nuclear Blast comes the new MACHINE HEAD album “Catharsis”. their ninth studio album on 2LP LTD 180g gatefold and CD with bonus DVD Ltd Digi, or 2lp picture disc or standard CD… New MARMOZETS album on the 26th also… Ltd blue vinyl… PHIL CAMPBELL (MOTORHEAD) has a new album, TESTAMENT reissues on Nuclear blast and lastly reissue of ALICE COOPER’s “Killer” on red and black swirl vinyl.
UNIVERSAL for the 26th have some KILLERS LP reissues…. “Sawdust”, “Day and Age”, “Sams Town” and “Direct Hits”.
Universal have the new DJANGO DJANGO album “Marble Skies” on CD and indies only coloured vinyl as well as BOB SEGER’s new album on LP.
More reissues from Universal include FUTURE SOUND OF LONDON “LIFEFORMS”, BEAUTIFUL SOUTH “WELCOME TO” and THE HOUSEMARTINS “LONDON 0 HULL 4” in your best soccer score readers voice… You know the one.
Here’s my own top ⅚ albums of the year..will elaborate a bit next week… Time can be my enemy.. Time is a funny thing… For another day though as well.
5. MOUNT EERIE – A CROW LOOKED AT ME
I must tot up the results folks… Will get out soon… That time thing again
Other really notables for me were
It’s a game of opinions folks… Makes the world go round.
Proper for the 26th have a JOHNNY DUHAN “Best Of”, and MUDDY WATERS “Live at Rockpalast” CD/DVD…
THE ORCHARD have new releases from TURIN BRAKES, MARY GAUTHIER and ALESTORM, as well as “Live in Birmingham” from STEVE HACKETT 2CD/DVD job..
MUSIC ON VINYL have some nice ones coming… STATUS QUO – Collected, TINDERSTICKS – SIMPLE PLEASURES EXPANDED EDITION with 12 bonus tracks… Nice.. BETH HART Reissues of “Leave the Lights On” and “37 Days”.
Speaking of cracking albums… ANNA MITCHELL’S album is a beaut… She is with us tomorrow for an instore Saturday at 1PM with full band… Magic!… Some great songs with some fine musicians… And do you know what, our saturday sessions are free…. Give it a shot, lights are low… Normally a cracking atmosphere…. Hope to see ye there folks… Really really do… Even if it’s to mind one of my kids.. No problem!
So sin é folks
Thanks for listening
