Going to hand ye over to Shane now as he takes ye down the road…big news for the Bowie heads today

Thanks, Ray, welcome back!  Glad you had a nice break.
I think the MZ regulars would stage a sit-down protest in the car park if you took 3 weeks off in a row!
Still wouldn’t be as bad as the wrath of the Bowie heads, but at least they should be satisfied this week…
Hi all, hope ye’re well.
Yes, a big one to mention today, the last in the series of DAVID BOWIE Box Sets ‘I Can’t Give Everything Away (2002-2016) has been announced and will be released on September 12th. It’s been a good few years since the last one was out, and by all accounts they are collector’s items now.
There will be a 13 CD set and an 18 LP Vinyl Set. Was just listening to the Next Day earlier today, great album.
Here’s more info about the vinyl set:
David Bowie 6. I Can’t Give Everything Away (2002 – 2016) is the sixth in a series of box sets spanning
Bowie’s career from 1969. The eighteen-piece vinyl box set is named after the closing track on ★
(BLACKSTAR), Bowie’s final studio album. The box sets include newly remastered versions (except ★
and No Plan), with input from David’s co-producer Tony Visconti.
Exclusive to each of the box sets are Montreux Jazz Festival and Re:Call 6. The former was recorded on the 18 th of July 2002 at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival and among the 31 tracks features a full performance bar one song of one of Bowie’s most revered albums, Low.
Re:Call 6 features 41 non-album / alternative versions / b-sides and soundtrack songs, including tracks
never previously available on vinyl.
An accompanying 84 page book features previously unseen notes, drawings and handwritten lyrics from Bowie and photos by Sukita (who took the set’s cover shot), Jimmy King, Frank W. Ockenfels 3, Markus Klinko, Mark ‘Blammo’ Adams and more as well as memorabilia, technical notes about the albums from co-producer Tony Visconti and design notes from Jonathan Barnbrook.”

Sounds good. We love Blackstar as well in the shop. Remember playing it loads after he died.
Anyway, an exciting one.

I better just list the rest of the down the road releases as there would be uproar:

A bleddy rake of stuff today.
Enjoy the Sun guys.
Thanks, Ray, back to you.

Thanks a mil Shane

Sin e for this week really folks

Thanks for listening as always

Ray, Shane, Adam Og and Mia
