March 12th: Thanks for the support! MURDER CAPITAL Instore Video, RSD Stock Update, new M(h)aol, MARK PRITCHARD & THOM YORKE release, and Happy Paddy’s Day!

Hi folks

Hope all is well with ye.

Just a reminder we are closed Patricks day…Monday the 17th ( we are always closed bank holidays really)

Here is what is in the siopa for this Friday the 14th of March…

I personally would like to thank those of ye who have supported the bUkl album ( our Shanes album)….the record itself looks beautiful as does Jim Mcs artwork…. the music on the record is great….some feat by the boy….heres another tune from it…good few LP left, not so many cds

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aF-7vdThYqk

We have a listening party coming up on Tuesday the 18th of March at 5 pm for the new Japanese Breakfast album “ for Melancholy Brunettes ( & sad women).”

The album will be played in full at 5pm on the 18th … .and we will have a poster and a clear outer sleeve which goes over the LP to create unique artwork for everybody in attendance.

Another point of note is we have reduced circa 8 or 900 records in the last few weeks….best way to see this is on the site here … .email us to keep anything or just buy it also!!

Releases in the shop then for the 21st March include…

RSD update time!!

Got some allocations back…some cuts….always cuts….so here is the story.

Only got back allocations from Cargo, Uni and Sony.

So re Sony all good i think no cut…magic!!

Re Cargo….i don’t have numbers but the info i got is that these titles below sold out and did not cover what was requested by the record shops so cuts will be made on these below ( i don’t have exact numbers but if you see something you wishlisted, then it is going to be either cut or not in at all maybe….here’s the Cargo issues

THE ONLY ONE I KNOW THE CHARLATANS
SOUL SLABS VOL. 4  VARIOUS
SOUTHERNUNDERGROUND (COLOURED VINYL) CUNNINLYNGUISTS
MIND OVER MATTER 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION (COL ZION I
LEMONHEADS IN DREAMLAND (COLOURED VINYL) THE LEMONHEADS
UNIVERS TBC
NINE X SEVEN WIRE
CRAZY ON THE WEEKEND (2025 REMASTER) SUNHOUSE
PARALYTIC TONIGHT, DUBLIN TOMORROW THE SAINTS
THE EARLY YEARS: 2008 ☐ 2010 POND
TWEEZ (TWEETHAN MIX) SLINT

Right Uni RSD issues next….now here we are bang on the wishlists  on these….have enough to cover the wish lists BUT feck all beyond wishlists really so strong advice is get in early as possible for these and should be fine… get in early best advice i can give….here’s the list for early birds…some biggies on it …these were all cut….some as much as 50% of what i ordered

Duran Duran
Post Malone
PIL
Queen
Saxon
Shane/Sinead
Supergrass
Lizzy
Wicked

Looks like others that are normally problematic aren’t this year ( Lennon, Sylvian)…so other uni titles should be fine … .am a bit over and above on the U2 and Taylor ones but not miles over so take note of that also please!!

And a quick word in the interest of self protection from the odd langer out there….we do our best to get ye the best info possible but at times bits slip through the cracks …there are 5 or 600 releases…it can be tricky to manage…very fluid, delays , cuts, brexit etc etc…we do our best so go f off if that’s not good enough!

That’s it for this week on the RSD stuff….oh the madness one looks ok ( at the moment anyway)….brexit problem supplier but looks ok…

If you see your title above…check the alarm clock is in working order…that’s the advice!

Releases then for the 28th March will include ( i’m ordering these in the next few days so if interested in anything, shout please!!

We are always trying to manage our stock hence asking for requests all the time, cos once it comes in here, its ours and sell or tough shite after that.

Anyhoo anyhoo…Friday the 28th of March…there is actually a load there and we only get to put up about 20% of whats sold to us  on the site every week, i’m not kidding….hundreds of releases every week….stuff do be flying at us like, the amount of admin is savage….god be with the days in Carrigaline….up the shutter down the shutter and a little red book for special orders, reps calling to take your new release orders…how things change!

 I’ll stop moaning

Nice Taste live one for the 28th actually

( Sony bought the rites for the Floyd catalog and reissues are coming on them all….price has gone north but Sony normally do lovely pressings)

Right so folks before i hand ye over to the bUkl Shane …a lovely treat for some of ye.

Here is our in store video of THE MURDER CAPITAL recently launching their super new record “ blindness”  with us….superbly shot by Tim again….if anyone needs video work done can pass ye Tims details…here tis…its excellent:

Right so Shane away with you so kid…

Cheers, Ray! Hello everyone!
The Murder Capital instore video is great, class to have them instore. Lovely to have the video of it , thanks again Tim!

Just want to reiterate what Ray said earlier about my new album, thanks so much to everyone who has shown interest and supported it so far, it means a huge amount to me to know that people are out there listening. The feedback has been great so far and again, massively grateful for it.
I’m going to link ye the full album on Spotify here, if ye enjoy a few tracks I’d be delighted if ye would consider buying a copy on vinyl or CD either online or give us a shout and we will put one aside for you. Here’s the album: https://open.spotify.com/album/0eoLWzLYBzWdbiOwKLC5ko?si=j6nmRbevT7uoTcufG1wWcg
I’m working on a new video for the next ‘single’.
My fav tracks are probably ‘Bubble’, ‘Feckin Unreal’ and ‘So Gratifying’. Anyway, do have a listen to it if you haven’t yet.

First, down the line release to mention from me today is  from the Irish band M(h)aol. It’s a brand new album, their second I think, callled ‘Something Soft’. I like their sound. Here’s a new track from it:
https://youtu.be/8AiJoMlBJUw?si=Azps9LTzNCaOW9_2

That’s to be released on May 16th on both CD and Vinyl.

And another Irish release coming in May is Amble – Reverie. I only discovered this band in the last week after Ray told me about them. Nice sound, folky with a bit of trad in the mix.
Here’s an amhrán: https://youtu.be/mqBDUNtqZ5w?si=-RgZFqmv-L1JB9K0
This is their debut. Out on CD and Vinyl on May 23rd.

There are two new Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab releases coming soon too. Fleetwood Mac – Mirage and Fleetwood Mac – Tango in the Night. These are high quality pressings from all analogue masters. They are 45rpm for more sound quality and the boxes are numbered. Pricey but on a high end system you will hear the difference.

Here’s the list of everything else with release date:

Last but not least, there’s a new album coming out on May 9th from MARK PRITCHARD & THOM YORKE called ‘Tall Tales’. There’s going to be a special first edition CD and first edition Vinyl of it which incorporate deluxe packaging and a booklet.
Here’s some info: “

Mark Pritchard & Thom Yorke are set to release their debut album as a duo via Warp Records. Following Pritchard’s remixes for Radiohead, the pair struck upon an otherworldly synergy with the track ‘Beautiful People’, a centrepiece of Mark’s 2016 solo album Under The Sun.

Now presenting a whole album, Tall Tales showcases Pritchard’s mastery of archaic machines that he had previously unearthed in synthesizer archives, guiding the music down unexpected and experimental paths. Yorke meanwhile delivers a haunting and expansive vocal performance, evoking Radiohead’s OK Computer-era digital FX while delving into dark, introspective storytelling.

Also central to the project, visual collaborator Jonathan Zawada’s artistry enhances the project with his hyperreal environments that blur the line between the organic and digital, juxtaposing uneasy landscapes of natural beauty with the brutal aesthetics of a dystopian world.”

Also standard CD and LP available. Here’s a track from them. I tend to love anything Radiohead linked. https://youtu.be/oKaei11LulE?si=_uxKccy96BJ12K13

Ar ais duit so Ray. Bain taitneamh as an lá glas seo chugainn gach duine!

Thanks Shane!

Sin e for this week really folks

Thanks for listening as always

Ray, Shane, Young Adam and Mia.
