Hi folks

Hope all is well out there.

Two instores coming up in the next week

First up on Saturday the 14th of June at 2 pm is the wonderful  Declan Sinnott and Evelyn Kallansee (Evelyn & Dec) 

They will be performing songs from their latest album , signing cds and having the chats.

We might do a little Q&A with Declan after the performance about his life in music, as fair to say he has seen it all….that’s if we are brave enough to do it.

2PM Saturday anyway folks….will be a good one.

Releases so for this friday the 13th of June ( wooohhh) include

 

Couple of things folks…i am fairly certain there is a signed Pulp test pressing on route to us…..signed by all the band…Shane will share the image….we will enter everyone who has bought the album into a raffle for it….if you want to join the raffle…buy the album, cd or lp or cassette ….we will run it till next tuesday and raffle for weds newsletter.

I kept meaning to mention the next bit…if ye remember we had a hassle with Stripe there a few months ago…we couldn’t take payments for 2 days on the site….we ( not me, i don’t think i can even put a product up anymore, the IT gang)  put paypal back in as a payment option….we are leaving Paypal in…thing is though…Paypal fees on the shop are 4% and Stripe are 2.2%….so if its no skin off your nose go with stripe when paying please….its all about the mighty dollar here in the corporation folks.

Second smashing instore coming up then is 49TH AND MAIN

This one is on Tuesday evening the 17th of June at 6 pm

The Kilkenny lads are signed to Counter Records in the UK and release their debut LP and CD ON THE 14TH June “ happy tears”

49TH AND MAIN will perform for us as well as signing lps and cds after the performance….i think they have a great sound, looking forward to this instore also. Hopefully see a few of ye there

So we have a nice event coming up with CRY BEFORE DAWN and the Crane Lane here in Cork.

Cry before Dawn are back with new music on August 1st … .a brand new EP “ Open Water” … .and the Crane and ourselves are hosting the lads in the Crane Lane for a performance on Tuesday the 5th of August.

To get into the show, you can buy a ticket for 7 quid , cd and a ticket for a tenner or LP and a ticket for 20 quid only….Shane will pop up the links for it now:

Ah sound, Ray! Glad you liked it. Excited to share it here with ye all. Filmed on Cape Clear a couple weeks back. The first sprouts of the song came from there, 17/18 years ago. Thanks so much to Tim McSweeney, who usually does our instore videos, for his drone photography.

First up for me to mention for down the road is the brand new album from DAVID BYRNE – Who is the Sky?. A legend as ye know. I always remember that track ‘Like Humans Do’ (?) that was automatically on the Windows XP Media Player. Less annoying than U2 maybe?!

On the first of August, ROGER WATERS is releasing This Is Not a Drill: Live From Prague on 2 CD, DVD, Blu Ray or a 4 LP Set.
It’s a career-spanning set list including tracks from DSOM and The Wall.

Last but definitely not least (please don’t egg my house, Bowie heads!) there’s a 40th anniversary 12 inch EP release of DAVID BOWIE & MICK JAGGER – Dancing in the Street!
And that one is on ‘cool’ cream coloured vinyl. 25th of July release.
