Getting the extra Doors ones…crisis over….will be enough here!

Going to hand ye over to Shane now as he takes ye down the road etc….into 2026 mostly!

Sound, Ray. Hello everyone, hope ye’re well! Getting into the Christmas run in now. Good time to watch a movie or two or listen to a crackly record if you have time off.
Anyone out there watching Stranger Things?

RIP to Mani from the Stone Roses. Sad news. Great bass player. Irish parents. He supported the Irish soccer team actually. He will be missed. I have the Stone Roses on now.

As Ray mentioned, alot of the down the road releases are for 2026 now, but a few here are in the next few weeks as well.
First up, DAVID BOWIE – Station to Station: 50th Anniversary, which is coming out on January 23rd.
It will be on half-speed mastered vinyl or Picture Disc. Only six tracks but quality ones. Here’s a bit about it (for the audiophiles):
“To mark the 50th anniversary of Station To Station, this limited-edition half-speed mastered LP has been cut by
John Webber at AIR Studios on a customised Neumann VMS80 lathe with recapped electronics. The audio is sourced from 192kHz restored masters of the original Hit Factory tapes, with no additional processing applied.

After the success of the dance hits Fame and Young Americans (both off 1975’s Young Americans), Bowie seemed to step back, ponder the future of rock, and then turn up the guitars and the art-rock sensibilities and make a completely engaging and evocative album. From the epic title track (introducing the Thin White Duke character and building into an incendiary rocker) to the irresistible Golden Years (another dance hit) and on to the physically wrenching and funk-drenched Stay, the soul of David Bowie is pretty much meshed into every track.”

KINGS OF LEON are releasing a new EP called ‘EP #2’ on their own label. That’s coming out physically on the same day as Bowie.
Here’s a track from it: https://youtu.be/lb2BnpVUxEE?si=3RtxF5IXjEyFbGPF
It’ll be on ‘cherry red’ 12 ” vinyl.

On December 19th, NAS & DJ Premier release a new collab album, ‘Light-Years’, on CD and Vinyl.
Always liked NAS. Here’s a track:

Next March, SEAMUS FOGARTY – SHIPS will be coming out on vinyl. Here’s a bit more about it:

“Ships” is Seamus Fogarty’s first new collection of music since 2023’s “Hee Haw” EP (“Just
brilliant” – Cillian Murphy, BBC6 Music) and is undoubtedly his most expansive and uplifting
collection of music to date. Channelling everything from Tortoise to early 90s hip hop, it’s
packed with poignant and funny slice-of-life vignettes touching on love, loss, trashy 19th
century Russian literature, DIY coffins, cans on trains with strangers and so much more.
After an enthusiastic response to several new songs writtten in the wake of his last album,
2020’s “A Bag Of Eyes”, and performed while on tour with Lisa O’Neill around Ireland and the
UK, Seamus enlisted the help of a range of esteemed collaborators longtime and new to bring
this new collections of songs to life, including string-arranger Emma Smith (Pulp, Beth
Gibbons), drummers Chris Vatalaro (Anohni, Radiohead) & Aram Zarikian (Grasscut), horn
player Joe Auckland (Madness, Oasis) with additional production and engineering by Leo
Abrahams (Brian Eno, Jon Hopkins) & Mike Lindsay (Tunng, Lump).”

And here’s the list of everything else coming soonish:

A relatively quiet one from me this week. That’s all folks.
Back to you, Ray! Slán.

Thanks Shane

Sin e really for this week folks

Thanks for listening as always

Ray, Shane, Adam & Mia
